A million dollars is much more than those BART workers would have made in the time they lost their jobs, so some of the award must be punitive toward the company.

The article you point to sounds more like BART is just incompetent, because they were supposed to be able to accommodate those employees, who said they had religious reasons for not getting the vaccine. They could not prove that the employees couldn't have been reasonably accommodated and so they lost the case.

Understandably expedited, but not "very limited". I mean "very limited" doesn't even mean anything particular. Nearly 50,000 people were tested in the Phase III study for the Pfizer vaccine alone. That is a lot of people. For drugs, it is generally no more than 6% of that. But due to the widespread use of the vaccine, the number was through the roof for statistical purposes.

Well, the testing didn't indicate any issues. The widespread vaccinations resulted in about what was predicted based on the testing and the generalized population sized vaccination... ie the results the broad vaccination was safe and people suffered less, died less if they were vaccinated, by at least one magnitude relative to the unvaccinated.

The lab leak arm chairers are quite curious. They straddle the line between Covid-19 wasn't that big of a deal and the Chinese created it and it got leaked into the public, this is all their fault!

Here is an additional issue with it coming from a lab. If China developed it, they should have had a much easier time developing a vaccine. What sense does it make that the Chinese had all this data, but weren't able to exploit it, leading to China having longer and actual lockdowns?
