Credit Where Credit is Due: a shout out thread for Things Trump Did Right

For what? He's the most powerful man on earth, and he whines like a fucking toddler over nothing.
He's still holding a grudge over a guy who called him a "small fingered vulgarian" over a quarter century ago.

So I think it is too early to know whether Trump's early measures will yield any positive results
Posted in February. So I guess the question to ask Trumptards is when do you stop apologising for your dear leader? Is it before, during or after he broadcasts the nuclear codes on Gab?

'cause you fucking know it's gonna be on Gab.

Another brilliant success of Trump's crusade against immigrants. MAGA!! Go USA!!!
Any MAGAts willing to comment? @RVonse ?
Not a "MAGAt", but I will comment.

Independent said:
Yang was born in Thailand and was a legal permanent US resident until she pleaded guilty to marijuana-related charges and served more than 2 years in prison. She took the plea deal after her attorney incorrectly stated it wouldn’t affect her legal permanent residency, which was later revoked, the Journal Sentinel reports.
After her sentence, Yang was taken to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Minnesota. There, a new attorney told her to sign a document that allowed her to leave but required her to agree that a deportation order would be entered against her, according to the Journal Sentinel.
So, she pled guilty to a felony, and her permanent residency was revoked.
But note how vague Independent describes her crime. They think they are slick. Write "marijuana-related charges" and most people will think that she was caught with a joint or a dime bag or something. Not that she was part of an interstate drug running operation.

'Operation Legend' nets 26 people in connection to violent drug trafficking organization
I'm not sure on her deportation. 2 years in jail should have yanked her green card and got her deported. The fact that her attorney said it wouldn't suggests to me there's some plea deal involved.

But what we are upset about is that she was deported to the wrong country. That is a major wrong, inexcusable no matter what her offense.

* He lowered prices on stocks.
BIGLY!!
I hope a lot of Repugs now panic and sell the stocks in their 401K.
I think The Felon will lift a bunch of tariffs so his pals can make bank on the bounce.
It will take a long time to FULLY recover though.
Consumer confidence is utterly SHOT.

Credit where credit is due!!

Trump vowed to bring "heavy manufacturing" jobs back to the U.S.A. That does not seem to be happening, but some industries ARE going to gain work.

Immigration attorneys for example. Several U.S. citizens have received notices telling them to "self-deport" immediately. At least one of these victims has hired an immigration attorney. That's one attorney who now has at least one additional client directly as a result of Trump's action. Kudos.

My sister has abandoned plans to visit me and my family in Thailand. She and some other citizens are reluctant to risk re-admission to the U.S., with reports that citizens are being detained and ordered to unlock their devices to search for anti-fascist opinions. Money she would have spent on travel among yellow-skinned Buddhists will instead be spent giving employment to citizens with the same skin color -- Aryan white -- and the same religion -- Baptist Evangelicalism* -- as the Founding Fathers. Kudos.

* - Sure, social scientists tell us that most of the Founding Fathers were "Unitarians", an old euphemism for "atheist", but in today's America one can pick and choose among Alternative Facts: Patriotic Trump supporters agree that Baptist Evangelicalism is the Founding Religion.

Trump seems to have made the right wing so toxic that he has rescued both the Canadian Liberal Party, and the Australian Labor Party, from what seemed like certain defeat only a few weeks ago.

I guess that's one good thing he has actually achieved, albeit he didn't realise it.

Well if we succeed voting Repugs out of congress in 20206 (a big IF), That would be a good thing too.

As above, so down under.

Canada and Australia. Both conservative leaders lost not only the election, but their seat.

Backing Trump seems like a poor strategy.

(The Liberal Party is the conservative party in Australia).

The Australian federal election was one of those "unloseable" elections for the LNP (our conservative party), as there is a general trend that when a world crisis causes bad economic situation for the people that many of them blame the sitting government (especially if it is Labor), though this isn't logical. The LNP ran heavily on this theme of cost of living crisis, as well as other typical lies. But the people didn't fall for this bullshit. Trump certainly had an effect, though not as much as in US's neighbour Canada.
Peter Dutton, the LNP leader, was perceived by most as bad with terrible policies, and he personally was strongly associated with Trumpism, and obviously and especially so in his own electorate of Dickson, which he failed to win, just like his Canadian equivalent.

A mastermind doesn’t need to have much of a mind. As Trump proves, it is sufficient to be appointed master. The master is free to do stupid shit all day long, proclaim himself a genius, and count on the morons who elected him to praise his stupidity and affirm his genius.

If Leeds win the Championship tonight, I might explode.

Leeds are currently down 1-0 from an own goal...
Seriously, you need to start bottling your blood. Forum rules forbids me telling why, but fuck mate - this is the internet. You can figure it out.
