2020 Election Results

Rudy Giuliani has claimed he can’t afford to buy food, just one week after he rocked up to vote in the election in his Mercedes.

Looks like an old beater 230 SL. Not old enough to be a collector's item but too old to look like a b'zillionaire's car.
(The 1960's ones are worth real money, but I think the one in the pic is maybe worth high teens to low twenties).
If it's a 550SL it is definitely a collectors car. Probably worth 30 to 40 grand. The bodies are pretty much the same, the running gear is very differant. That V8 is considered to be one of the greatest V8 engines ever built.

I could buy plenty of food for forty grand.
I had a 1964 230SE Coupe for a while. The original owner was Governor Bill Scranton of PA. It had that 6.3 liter V8 and sounded like a really gnarly sewing machine. Wish I had kept it - probably worth six figures today.

Rudy Giuliani’s lawyers have abruptly quit representing him in his defamation case after attorneys for the women he defamed accused the disgraced former New York City mayor of hiding property he has been ordered to turn over.

Giuliani’s lead counsel Kenneth Caruso and attorney David Labkowski filed a motion in federal court in New York on Wednesday citing several reasons for their withdrawal, pointing to a “fundamental disagreement” with Donald Trump’s former attorney.

His spokesperson Ted Goodman told The Independent that “he has not been informed by Mr. Caruso of this action.”

“Surely Mr. Caruso would talk to the mayor, or at the very least inform him, of such a decision,” he said.

The attorneys invoked a New York rule that allows attorneys to withdraw when a “client insists upon taking action with which the lawyer has a fundamental disagreement” or when a client “insists upon presenting a claim or defense that is not warranted under existing law and cannot be supported by good faith argument,” or when “the client fails to cooperate in the representation or otherwise renders the representation unreasonably difficult for the lawyer to carry out employment effectively.”

Joseph Cammarata said in a letter filed late Friday in Manhattan federal court that the trove of watches and a ring were delivered by FedEx to a bank in Atlanta, Georgia, in the morning. The 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 was turned over at an address in Hialeah, Florida, and an undisclosed amount of funds from Giuliani’s Citibank accounts were also surrendered to the two women who won the judgment, according to the letter.

Cammarata, in an email, didn’t respond to follow-up questions but called Giuliani “a victim of political persecution” and said this month’s election demonstrated Americans were tired of “witch-hunts, indictments, impeachments, prosecutions, convictions, civil cases and judgments.” “The people of this great nation have spoken; my legal team and client intend to do the same,” Cammarata wrote. “We will not relent.” Associated Press article link

:fuckoff:

Rudy Giuliani could be held in contempt of court for repeating false claims about two former election workers who won nearly $150 million for his defamatory statements about them.

Attorneys for Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss — who are also pressing a federal judge in New York to force the cash-strapped former New York City mayor to turn over his property — are asking the judge who presided over their initial defamation trial to sanction Giuliani for his ongoing baseless claims.

On recent livestreams, Donald Trump’s former attorney accused the women of “quadruple counting the ballots” and “passing hard drives that we maintain were used to fix the machine” during the 2020 presidential election — claims that landed him in a trial court for defamation last year
Wuttan asshole.

Jack Smith to send final report to AG Garland for potential public release. Trump is fighting it.
article said:
President-elect Donald Trump and his former co-defendants in the Florida classified documents case launched an effort Monday to block the release of a final report by special counsel Jack Smith that also addresses the election interference case.

Both cases against Trump have been dismissed.

Lawyers for defendants Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira filed a motion Monday night asking U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon to block Smith, who prosecuted the case, from issuing his report. They cited the judge's previous ruling that Smith’s appointment was unconstitutional.
Well all we need to do is have Biden leak it.

That is such bullshit. That is total bullshit. That is buying into the right-wing media narrative. And I’m so sick of Democrats like you selling out and saying this. You know who talks about trans people more than anybody? MAGA. MAGA is the most genital-obsessed political party I have ever seen.

Kamala Harris talked about homeownership. She talked about kitchen table issues. Trump’s over there, droning on about Hannibal Lecter. Are you kidding me? This is where the Democrats lose because we’re playing the game with the rulebook. They’ve ripped the rulebook up and are crammed it down everybody’s throat. And Democrats are upset because Joe Biden pardoned his son. We gotta fucking fight. They’re the gender-obsessed weirdos, not us. We’re the ones who fight for Social Security. We fight for Medicare, and yeah, we’re not gonna bully trans people. We’re gonna fucking do it. If you wanna do it, fine.

A man who once ran for sheriff in Archuleta County has been charged with arson for allegedly throwing a Molotov cocktail into the Archuleta County Clerk’s office.

William Wayne Bryant, 71, appears to have targeted the room where the county’s Dominion voting machines are stored. There are indications Bryant subscribes to conspiracy theories that Dominion equipment has been used to steal elections.

The incident occurred in the early hours of June 12. According to the arrest affidavit, security video recorded a man throwing an incendiary device through a side window before running away. The bomb caused a fire that engulfed parts of the office. Soot, fire and water damage have forced the clerk's office to remain closed since the incident.

Pagosa Springs police arrested Bryant on June 25 and charged him with 1st degree arson, a class 4 felony, and possession of an explosive or incendiary device, a class 5 felony. He is scheduled to be formally charged at a hearing on July 23, but that date could extended, and is currently out on bail.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said in an interview published Wednesday that he plans to launch a social media site called Vocl that he described as a cross between YouTube and Twitter.

Lindell, a strong supporter of former President Trump, told Business Insider that Vocl would be meant “for print, radio and TV” and differ from conservative platforms Gab and Parler.

“It’s not like anything you’ve ever seen,” he said. “It’s all about being able to be vocal again and not to be walking on eggshells.”

The MyPillow CEO, who was barred from Twitter this year after spreading unfounded claims about widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, said he’s worked on Vocl for four years and plans to be the CEO. He predicted it would launch at the latest in three weeks.

Lindell told Business Insider that he didn’t have any potential investors but about 10 people were working on Vocl. He declined to name any of those people “for their safety.” He also declined to identify the location of Vocl’s headquarters in the U.S. and reveal how much he invested.

MyPillow founder and staunch Trump ally Mike Lindell plans to launch a social network of his own in the next few weeks, creating a haven for the kind of pro-Trump conspiracy theories that have been banned on more prominent social-media sites. On Lindell’s “Vocl” social media platform, users will be free to claim that a supercomputer stole the election from Donald Trump, or that vaccines are a tool of the devil.

Any new social media network faces serious challenges. But Vocl must grapple with a daunting problem before it even launches: a website called “Vocal,” spelled with an “A,” already exists.

On Thursday, lawyers for Vocal’s publicly traded parent company, Creatd, Inc., warned Lindell, in a letter reviewed by The Daily Beast, to change his social media network’s name and surrender ownership of the Vocl.com domain name. If Lindell refuses to change the name, he could face a lawsuit.

Well Lindell's lawyers should have no problem arguing that his idea of removing the penultimate vowel from the word is novel, and that Vocal's parent company would never have thought of doing anything similar.

On Thursday, lawyers for Vocal’s publicly traded parent company, Creatd, Inc., ...

Oh, wait.

Sht.

License to lie has gotten cheaper. Yay Trump, fighting inflation.

House Republicans have voted to establish a new subcommittee to reinvestigate the January 6 attack, a move that comes as Donald Trump has tried to rewrite the history of the most violent incident in US Capitol history.

Language to set up the Republican-led subcommittee was folded into a larger rule that passed along party lines. The new subcommittee follows Republican claims that the previous Democratic-led committee was biased against Trump.

The vote comes seven months after House speaker Mike Johnson first announced the new subcommittee in January, saying that it will “uncover the full truth that is owed to the American people”.

Biased towards Trump. They were chanting, "Hang Mike Pence". They came from Trump's Rally against Democracy, and Trump didn't do anything while the Capitol Building was being evacuated. Be like Germany putting together a subcommittee in the UN to determine if the Nuremberg trials were biased against Nazis.

Well, if it took seven months to even establish the subcommittee after announcing it then it seems the American people aren’t owed it promptly.

I'd also hazard a guess this is a hail mary to try and deal with the Epstein monster they created.
