Immigration Issues

Welp, it's hitting close to home now. Our security team at work sent out a message that ICE is in our operating areas here in Tempe and Mesa. A lot of our employees on the local ops team are non-white and are pretty concerned.
Yeah, I have friends and family who are non-white and who may/may not have been born in the US who live in ( not AZ) but other places where ICE has been extremely active. Very concerning. Very.

Worth noting that the woman shot and killed by ICE was neither "illegal" or an immigrant.

What is noteworthy about that?
What does ICE stand for? Irritated Cunts Everywhere, apparently.

No, it stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement actually. If it had been called National Immigration and Customs Enforcement you’d be complaining about NICE :ROFLMAO:

But anyway, what is so noteworthy about Ms Good’s tragic death in regards to her citizenship?

What is noteworthy is how come so many white, middle aged, middle class liberals (oftentimes sexually ambiguous) are so unhinged?

I was not aware that you were either liberal or sexually ambiguous.
I guess Twiz thinks that all those things are worthy of summary execution by ICE goons. Because that's just good immigration enforcement?

Renee Good was not “summarily executed” by ICE. She died under tragic circumstances that were entirely avoidable but that doesn’t go down well with the narrative.

It is noteworthy that a twice married mother of three, in a lesbian relationship chose to insert herself into an ICE operation.

Yeah, but she was. Everyone has seen the video. It's a thing that happened, even if you want to pretend it didn't.
She died under tragic circumstances
Yup.
that were entirely avoidable
... if she had just decided to allow authoritarian bully boys to ride roughshod over the US Constitution, as you would presumably prefer.
but that doesn’t go down well with the narrative.
The "narrative" is your bullshit. The truth is that a federal agent gunned down a citizen without cause or excuse, and is being protected by the federal government all the way to the top.

Is it? Why? Is it even factual, much less notable? Would it be notable if the victim had been a once married mother of two in a heterosexual relationship? Would it be notable if ICE had chosen to insert themselves into her peaceful action that was a block away from their operation (as it now seems may have been the case)?

Why did you even move to the USA, if you despise their constitution so much? Couldn't you have just gone to Russia, China, Iran or North Korea instead? Those places actively reward folks like you who cheer on authoritarian bullies as they kill anyone who stands against them.

She absolutely was summarily executed. She was not arrested for her alleged "crime," was not given a trial, was not sentenced by a judge, but was instead shot multiple times by an ICE officer who probably didn't even know she was a twice married mother of three or a lesbian. She was just someone he wanted to murder to satisfy his sick power trip.
None of which has a goddamned thing to do with immigration or customs enforcement.

Race traitors obviously. Plus any woman not in barefoot pregnant submission to a non-soy male is prone to hysteria.

Do you really like the idea of ICE invading someones's home without a warrant? Doesn't that sound like it should be illegal to you?
I believe ICE can not enter someone’s home without a warrant but they can enter if the person at the door says they can enter. So I don’t know what you are talking about here.

How would you feel if ICE knocked down your door because they suspected you were here legally and/or thought that your IDs were phony. That's just a small example of what I'm talking about.

I’d be more than a little surprised if they did that to me. But I can’t say I have seen any credible reports that such an event has occurred.

Didn't the guy you voted for say he was going after immigrants who were harmful criminals? Most of those who have been detained have no criminal records or have only committed minor crimes like traffic violations and petty crimes. Being here illegally is supposed to be a civil violation, not a criminal one, but how things have changed since a felon was elected president. ?

I don’t think things have changed that much in regards to people in the USA being deported, certainly Obama deported plenty of them. It just wasn’t made such a big deal when he did it.

Because Obama didn't instruct his ICE and Border Patrol agents to be cruel and violent assholes. Obama also followed the laws and used due process in the deportations.

That is exactly the point. It's one thing to deport people who come here illegally and stay, and quite another to treat people like sacks of meat, beating them, shooting them, breaking down their doors without a warrant, etc, and even sometimes arresting citizens, including Native Americans.

I did see it reported that an illegal immigrant was shot in the leg by an ICE agent after he walloped the agent with an ice (oh the irony) shovel.

Boy, you really are clinging to this Native American arrest bs aren’t you.

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is not officially targeting Native Americans as a category, but there are multiple recent, credible reports that Native American U.S. citizens are being swept up, stopped, and sometimes detained during ICE operations, especially around Minneapolis and in parts of Indian Country. These incidents appear tied to racial profiling and confusion or disregard around tribal and U.S. citizenship status, not to a stated policy that Native Americans are deportable “immigrants"

Boy, Swiz, you really are clinging to this Dindunuffin bs, aren't you?

There are articles all over the place that give evidence that Native Americans have been swept up by ICE. https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/oglala-sioux-tribe-members-detained-ice-minneapolis/

The president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe said Thursday that he's been "made aware" that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained four of its members in Minneapolis.

President Frank Star Comes Out in a Facebook post said the four men are homeless and were living under a bridge near the Little Earth housing complex in the East Phillips neighborhood.

Attorneys who represent the tribe were "instructed" reach out to Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan about where they are being detained and what their names are, he said.

The social media post also has a statement for Tribe members to give to ICE members who approach or detain them.

According to the Tribe, any member who is detained by federal officials should not speak without an attorney present and should call Frank Star Comes Out or other Tribe officials.

So Twiz, who ya gonna believe the news or your lying eyes?

Who are you going to believe?

Frank Star Comes Out, president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, said he and other council members have not been able to verify that unhoused Oglala tribal members have been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis. Star Comes Out partially walked back those earlier statements regarding the status of tribal members during a news conference held Friday at the Minneapolis American Indian Center.

You really, really want it to be true. You’re not the only one of course.

First, ICE agent behavior shows ICE agents don’t need provocation to act like stormtroopers.
Even if that's the case, provocation by the other side is not doing anything to calm the situation.
Second, all sorts of people go to doctor’s appointments. I don’t know whether she is telling the truth or not. But using involvement in #BLM as proof she is lying is inane.
Of course people have doctor's appointments. But how likely it is that the drive to a doctor's appointment just happened to take her through a site of an ICE action. Let's not be naïve here!
Frankly, IMO, there is ample evidence from DHS statements to warrant extreme skepticism about anything they claim.
Same goes for #BLM.
