What about Scientology?
Is it disqualified for being too recently invented? How does THAT work?
And no FSM. Geez. Just when you get new religious headgear from Crate & Barrel.
Well, there is catch-all category called "Other" for all the miscellaneous religions out there.
What if I DONT WANT TO BE A “OTHER”!??!?

Thebeave sees no problem with this.
That's what you conclude from my post (#4693)? You need some help with reading comprehension. I was merely pointing out that the Mormons' complaints have been addressed, and the list was updated to their satisfaction. I was not indicating any personal preference on how the religions should be organized in the military. I honestly don't care that much. I've been an atheist for almost 50 years. If I'm to be honest, I think all religions, Christian and otherwise, are kooky. If religious people want to squabble about how they are revered and organized, fine by me. Have at it. To me, it's like watching Santa Claus and Easter Bunny fighting in the boxing ring over which one of them is real and which one is imaginary.

I think I would have to agree that the number of obscure religions got a little out of hand. The Church of the Spiral Tree? Sacred Well Congregation? Kansas Yearly Meeting of Friends? Schwenkfelder Churches? Are chaplains expected to know the basic tenents of all these obscure denominations?
