How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

A US Air Force C-17 military transport plane landed in Moscow. Word is Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe was aboard to escort Putin to Mar-a-Lago.
Also, Ukraine sends the world's first drone aircraft carrier to its Russian proving grounds.

These is getting real. This is a big deal. Putin is starting to lose in Ukraine, and is getting desperate. He wants to escalate. I hear the options that they are considering is using nukes, attacking Nato, full military draft in Russia. China and India have nixed the nuclear idea. China would hopefully just take over Russia if this were to happen. The draft is happening. I hear that the CIA trip was to enforce that Nato is ready and will not tolerate an attack on one of its members. Meanwhile, Trump is fucking around in Iran; trying to bully Greenland and Canada. Our real enemy and the country that poses a direct threat to America right now is Russia.
Or Ratcliffe just went there to them them to hold off until after November. A sad but plausible scenario.

We have a lot of the problems in the US! But our CIA is actually pretty good. They predicted exactly how the Russians would invade Ukraine. All the credit goes to Ukraine for fighting them off. But our intelligence allowed the Ukranians to get into the right positions in the right places that aided in fighting them.

From what I read, the Russians want to split up NATO. Some experts are predicting that Russia will try to take a small piece of land near Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. Then they will deploy massive electronic devices in the area to mask their intentions. They'll put in massive defensive systems in that area. This will confuse nato, disguising the true targets, forcing Nato to spread it defenses out. Once they hold a piece of land, Moscow would quickly populate the area with air defenses that could shoot down NATO aircraft that skirted within range to strike Russian forces, some experts predict. From what I read, nato has been rehearsing for this scenario for years. But it's getting real.
The obvious response to any Russian threat against NATO is, you and what army.

Putin can't trust his army or Air Force, what's left of it. He would have to rely on FSB forces and that's not certain. The FSB was the spearhead of the initial invasion and there were heavy losses in men and equipment.

If the Russian army had electronic warfare that could defeat NATO, it would be in kept close to refineries and Wildberries warehouses.
You are mad, if you believe any of that.
And yes, russian electronic warfare did utterly defeat NATO's "excaliburs" and HIMARS
And yet the refineries and warehouses still burn and Russians sit in their cars for days, waiting for gasoline that will never arrive.

Ukraine can bomb ships sitting in Kronstadt and there's nothing Russia can do about it. Putin is never going to do anything that might invoke NATO Article 5. He has enough problems as it is.
Recently fired Defense Minister of Ukraine disagrees with you. He thinks Ukraine is losing the war.
1 million Russian casualties and climbing.

Even if Putin manages to taks over Ukraine he looses.

1. NATO is reinvigorated.
2, Putin caused two neutral countries to join NATO.
3. Russia is a war economy, historically a crash when the war ends. Economy artificially grows by military spending,
4. Russia is further isolated from he world. His dream of creating an economic block as great as the USA and the west is gone.
5. Russia already had a problem with declining population, worsened by the war casualties. Not enough workers.

Nothing new, the history of war and economics.

AI Overview

Russia operates a heavy wartime economy, though it falls short of a historical "total war" mobilization because private consumer markets and non-military trade still function.Budget and Defense FocusHigh Spending: Defense and security take up nearly 40% of Russia's total federal budget.State Orders: Government contracts for weapons and military gear drive most of the country's economic activity.Resource Shift: Factories and money move away from public health, education, and civilian industries to support the armed forces.Limits of Total MobilizationActive Consumer Market: Unlike World War II command economies, civilian stores, restaurants, and private businesses remain open.External Trade: Russia still sells oil and gas to buyers like China and India to fund its budget, rather than relying solely on domestic rationing.Partial Conscription: The Kremlin relies on contract soldiers and high wages to fill army ranks rather than a total draft of the entire workforce.Growing Economic StrainsLabor Shortages: Millions of workers have joined the military or left the country, creating a severe shortage of civilian labor.Rising Prices: Basic goods like food and utility bills cost much more due to inflation and a strained supply chain.Reduced Profits: Non-military companies make less profit even as state-paid wages temporarily boost overall numbers. If you'd like, I can share more details on:How Western sanctions affect this wartime systemThe long-term risks of stagnation for Russia

You don't need C-17 for any that.
You need a C-17 to carry the armored Suburban that transported Ratcliffe to the Kremlin.

Sorry man. You are gas-lighting yourself.
CIA director went to Moscow to collect bodies of his "boys"

It's so cute the way you pirouette and dodge when you can't dispute the facts, but these days I can tell your hearts just not in it anymore. It really doesn't matter what the fired Ukraine DM thinks or doesn't think. He can buy a tank of gas in Kyiv and a Russian can't in Moscow. That has to make it tough to keep going.

Burning down an enemies oil refineries, sinking their ships, and striking anywhere in their country is an unusual way to lose a war, but maybe it's never been tried before.

Bold - I've noticed that too. More and more, he's just been throwing shit at the wall in hopes something will stick. Though nothing ever has.

Penetration of Western social media is a very long term project for Russia. Every social forum has Russian members and a few admit to being Russian. They exist to push the Russian version of reality, a task which has become very difficult. It was hard enough to convince us that Ukraine was full of Nazis, it's now become a fool's errand. Despite Putin's efforts to control the Russian people, information still escapes. There are just too many smart phones in Russia and every explosion is broadcast to the world, along with scenes of people lined up for kilometers at a gas station.
But Barbos has to slog on without concern for how ridiculous it is.

Russia's "giant sucking sound" of those with the means to do so leaving the country.
Kyiv Post said:
More than 113,000 Russian citizens crossed into Georgia via the Verkhny Lars checkpoint in a single week, driven by rumors of a new military mobilization. On Aug. 20 alone, over 20,000 people crossed the border. Armenia has also indicated it will welcome Russians fleeing the draft. The exodus follows reports of intensified Kremlin recruitment efforts and Ukrainian intelligence assessments predicting a 600,000-person mobilization wave across 2026 and 2027.
All that'll be left to fight are the poor, disabled, aged, and those suffering from pseudologia fantastica.

This new Kiev Regime supreme commander is a real piece of shit war criminal.
WB, now he is attacking people on Black Sea beaches of Krasnodar. 8 dead including 3 children.
No, you attacked that beach.

Specifically, you shot down a Ukranian drone at a position that caused the wreckage to fall on the beach.

That doesn't look like a controlled strike to me.

Thank you.

Yeah, the drone went from level flight to freefall--whatever lifting force it had suddenly vanished. This would be almost impossible to aim, so there's no way the beach was the target. The camera is too far away to see what happened to it, but you wouldn't really expect to see much from flak at that range.

Russian space shuttle .. hmm we must have copied it.
Actually you did. Not shuttle but that thing which are actually flying now.
Yes, Buran was coppied because Brezhenev told engineers that he wants it too.
And they successfully "copied" it.
And then did nothing with it, just let it rot.

comparison of drone offensive by Russia and Ukraine.
rabidly pro-ukrainian publication counted 1 (one) out of 1400 attempts successful drone hit on proper Moscow. 1/1400 success rate. The rest were shot down at different distances from the target. Most in the country side. Compare that to russian ballisstic missiles success rate in Kiev of 100%
They also calculated cost it it roughly the same ~$70mil. Except each russian ballisttic missiles cary 500kg of explosives and that single shit plane was carrying 50kg.
Nazi clowns spent $70mil to have one (!!!) 50kg charge explode in Mosocow.
Of course it is Moscow and other places are not that good.

Regarding refineries, ukro drones were able to knock down only 10% (not 40% as reported by western scum media) And it was temporary.

I recall multiple times of drone strikes in Moscow. A lot more than one got through.
