Planned Parenthood Attacked: Three Dead

Huckabee and Carly woman are trying hard to do damage control and pretend their support of the unfounded allegations against Planned Parenthood did not incite crazy nuts to come gunning for the clinics.

I doubt they incited it, but they did legitimized the beliefs that are probably behind it. And that may be even worse.

Voter registration doesn't prove all that much.

Indeed. I am registered as unenrolled in Massachusetts.

And I'm registered Republican because I see politics more as a matter of voting for the lesser evil--and since I fear the Republicans more than the Democrats I want to vote for the lesser evil in the primary. It's gotten to the point that I can't find a lesser evil, though!

I find it fascinating that you do not refer to this shooter (who is a white person) as a "thug". Does this mean you think this shooter had a reasonable fear for his life (or the lives of others) and was simply defending himself (or others)?

"Thug" describes a lifestyle, not a single incident. This guy appears to simply have been a crazy.

A crazy who listens to the radical right wing.

No disagreement there.

Difference between your state and mine is that as "unenrolled" I can vote in either Dem. or Repug. primary and then immediately switch back to unenrolled when I exit the polls.

Did we ever find out who the injured and dead were if they were NOT any employees? Were they all patients just trying to get some health care? I can't find anything on the news.

I guess that implies patients because HIPAA.

Loren: At last the truth comes out. I have known all along you are a REPUBLICAN pretending to wear sheep's clothing. Thanks for telling us who you are at last...granted you used circuitious language and attempted to soften the blow but you are Republican through and through. May Carly, Carson and Trump heap their blessings on you.;)

I regard the Repuglican attack on Planned Parenthood as an outrage of the state of civil society in America and these politicians with their ridiculous rhetoric are inciting violence and murder against and increasingly embattled and humanistic effort to make American life better by helping women and men plan their trips into parenthood and not just toss a coin and let God do what he wants to them...including killing them with dangerous and unsupportable pregnancies. I regard the slimy politicians and clergy that push their agenda against Planned Parenthood as all collectively guilty of the murders done in the name of their bigotry.:devil-smiley-029:

It could but you're right that there has been pretty much no news on this. I've been sorta assuming more info would come out after the weekend.

Agreed. That lying sack of shit Fiorina seems to think that it's a typical left-wing tactic to observe that lying incendiary false accusations about selling baby parts by frothing at the mouth rabid candidates like herself have nothing to do with something like this guy shooting up people on account of baby parts.

Denver Post has identified one of the two civilians killed as a friend of a patent who was accompany her friend to the clinic. Technically speaking not staff or a patient but when the right-wing anti-abortion people claim that this murder was not associated with being at planned parenthood they would by lying - as usual.

COLORADO SPRINGS — A 29-year-old former Army specialist who served in Iraq was one of three people killed in the shooting attack on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, according to a close friend.

The former specialist, Ke’Arre M. Stewart, died Friday, along with a police officer, Garrett Swasey, and Jennifer Markovsky, a woman from Hawaii. Mr. Stewart’s death was confirmed by Amburh Butler, a staff sergeant in the Army and a friend of Mr. Stewart’s since middle school.

And a BLM protester was assaulted at a Trump event Saturday night after the man yelled out “black lives matter.” Shockingly, Trump defended the assault saying, “Maybe he should have been roughed up,” adding, “It was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.” Does Trump believe that an African America exercising his First Amendment rights is “disgusting”?
Is there a name for the twisted logic behind that question? It's so common that I think there should be an associated fallacy name for it.

Ha ha. Ok. Tell me why it isn't terrorism. This'll be entertaining

Because it's not a political act through an organised group.

So...we can see the act, but we cannot classify it as a terrorist act unless there's an organised group involved?
Like, if someone drove him to the clinic, and showed up at the agreed upon time, is that an organised group? Or do they need brochures, a website, a logo?

It's funny how terrorists can't be terrorists unless they've got, what, three or more people back at headquarters?
One to terrorize, one to release the statement and one to hold the camera to record the statement?

It's not the act or the agenda that makes it terrorism it's the support system in place...?

What if this shooter HAS an organized group behind them? There are groups that blow up and shoot at abortion clinics. What if they're part of this incident, but they're all keeping it secret?
Is it possible that it is a terrorist act, but we'll never KNOW it's a terrorist act because they won't admit to the organization?

A 'thug' was a worshipper of Kali, goddess of destruction, and thuggee was put down by British colonialism. A 'thug'. now, is anyone you disapprove of, Trump the Bully for instance.
Assassins were a medieval Islamic sect. Vandals were a Germanic tribe which sacked Rome in the 5th century.
Etymology is interesting and everything, but the fact that words have histories should not prevent us from using them.

WTF does any of this have to do with this nutjob shooting up a Planned Parenthood Clinic. Are you implying Planned Parenthood is Muslim?

NO.

It's the people that want to stop the muslim bashers, use any kind of shooting by a white person to say, 'look, many terrorists are also white' - but of course, lone gunmen like this aren't actually terrorists

The FBI is lib-left and wants to call white people racist?

Not the FBI, but the people equating lone white nutcase gunmen, to terrorists.

the FBI disagrees with you, as does federal law.

and you're missing the point I'm making, either deliberately or other

No, everyone gets the point that you're making, it's just that the point that you're making isn't related to the actual arguments that anyone else is making.

and you're missing the point I'm making, either deliberately or other

No I am not. Tell if I got this wrong.

You say that this white man is being persecuted for being a terrorist with he is really psychotic and this persecution in based in an anti white racism. You are saying that by definition a lone gunman can not be a terrorist.

The FBI and actual law say otherwise.
