Ya, Trump has been on the verge of making the switch to a competent and sober professional so many times now that it's incredibly fucked up that people continue to hold out hope that it's something that will happen.

Kelly will, of course, try to manage him but then Trump will get tired of being managed after a few days and do something outrageous and stupid just to demonstrate that he doesn't like it when people try to manage him. He's never lasted more than a week before, so I give him until the 10th so that the Friday morning shows will be able to discuss it. He's not going to let his insane rant get lost amidst a weekend news cycle.

Actually, Newsweek reports that Kelly and McMaster have been making certain one of them was available to be at Trump's side at all times... because they fear the idiot will do something insanely idiotic. So Kelly may be around for a while.

Isn't it obvious? Because Trump is a pathological narcissist, and cannot bear someone else in the limelight. Half of his problems are due to his inability to just shut the fuck up, and the other half are due to his base incompetence.
