Are we more interested in helping a small group of people or helping their cause?

Register to vote, and then vote. Dragoon your friends into voting. Get young people to vote. The younger cohorts have the distressing habit of not showing up at the voting booth. While the old farts who are riled up by listening to Lush Rimjob, and Mark Leslime and Sean Insanity on Faux radio do show up in large numbers to vote for idiots.

If you mean young students, then I don't think they should really be getting involved in political activism on either side of the debate. Firstly there is a risk they will be used by adults, and secondly, they haven't really had enough time to form their own views on issues yet.
I don't even think free speech rights should apply at a younger age. E.g. a child shouldn't have a right to advocate for bestiality legalization and hand out pamphlets to everyone. Just as, you shouldn't be approaching young students with that kind of material.
Point being, they aren't really ready for political activism. If you consider that "off topic" in your thread, well sorry, but as I say, I don't think it's a good idea.

Totally agree. No one will pay attention to younger people until they start voting and using their power.

Odd, an 18 year old gets shot at in another country, the right-wing will cum in their pants while voting for them to serve in office. A bunch of 17 year olds get shot at in their school, and we are told that these kids are not mature and should be ignored. What are the ways we can support the student protesters?

Who is this in response to? I'm talking about supporting activist students and student protests. Honor the victims, support the survivors' voices and their efforts to make change. You aren't supporting the shooting victims, you are telling disinterested teens around you to register and start giving a fuck about Government because Trump is a sign that not enough people are giving enough fucks to save our Government from devolving into authoritarian "free market" garbage.
Probably came out wrong. I meant more that we aren't looking to directly support the teens directly affected by the latest shootings, but to indirectly support them by trying to wake up indifferent teens and those in their 20s. The three biggest things in an election are turnout, turnout, and turnout.Who is this in response to? I'm talking about supporting activist students and student protests. There are a couple of options too. Someone needs to create an organization or if there is promote it more that is in opposition to the NRA. And second, a political party like the tea party needs to be started to promote gun control.

I beg your pardon but when I was finishing high school way back in 1967, I became a bit of a political activist. I marched in anti war rallies in my city and by the time I was 18, I marched on my college campus to protest some things. My political views have changed very little over the years, although my body isn't as perky or capable of doing what I could then, other than voting and encouraging young people to do the same. If you are a 15 year old, who follows what's going on in the country and cares about the future, you are old enough to get involved with political activism. I know many adults who don't have the maturity and will to do what these young people are trying to do. I don't like it when I'm stereotyped because of my age and I don't like it when teenagers are stereotyped as being too young or immature to get involved. We should be praising and supporting these kids, not discouraging them. They are the future, so why shouldn't they be the leaders of a new movement that has impacted them to such a horrific degree? We "kids" were activists during the Viet Nam War, because we were also the people most affected by it. 58000 of my peers died in that war, so of course we wanted to be involved. It's the youth that start movements.
And, btw, kids in their late teens are not easily manipulated by adults. Trump has manipulated a lot of people that are well into adulthood, so I don't see that your argument is at all convincing.
