Sen. Feinstein Claims She Received Info On Kavanaugh And Sent It To FBI

Yep.

Well, a second allegation has surfaced: Senate Democrats Investigate a New Allegation of Sexual Misconduct, from Brett Kavanaugh’s College Years.

This may not be the last, so Republicans are going to be frantic to get him approved or to get him to withdraw. They have a little more than a month left to campaign for House and Senate seats. They don't want this to be the issue that they have to talk about on the campaign trail. It turns out that the Senate Republicans have known about this second allegation for days now.

I confess. I, too, sometimes go to the end of a thread before posting. Failing to review what came before.

Ann Coulter finally weighs in:

Hmmm. How about: Our REAL problem is that many men have no choice but to rape because they have no opportunities to date attractive women.

"No choice."

I hope she's offering herself up to be raped then.

As if it were not bad enough that men have no choice but to commit rapes they do not want to commit. Forcing them to rape Ann Coulter is just adding cruelty to cruelty.

My bad. Posts were flying fast an furious when I wrote that, but I had delayed posting it too long. When I got back to the computer, I should have cancelled and refreshed the thread. Anyway, the New Yorker article is the seminal one that triggered all of the other news reporting. Feinstein has called for a halt to the nomination process until all of this can be investigated by the FBI--the process that has been the established precedent for handling such matters in a Supreme Court nomination. Republicans have been resisting, but I just don't see how they can continue to railroad this nomination through. Too many of them are standing for reelection. The nomination should be delayed until after the midterm elections in order to give Kavanaugh and his accusers a fair hearing.

FALSE. Not even one of them has "denied" anything. They have simply said they don't remember the specific party,
No evidence is no evidence. Ford's attempts to corroborate any part of her allegation have been lacking.
but one of them said she 100% believes Dr. Blasey-Ford.
Based on nothing but that she is friends with her - she doesn't claim any independent knowledge or recollections. That's not corroboration. You believe Ford too 100%. Doesn't make it evidence.
Another one, Kavanaugh's buddy Judge, has said he was usually black-out drunk at these parties. He can't deny something he can't even remember.
How is that corroboration of anything?

Ramirez has been 100% upfront that her memory is spotty because they got her drunk,
Obviously we should crucify Kavenaugh based on memory that is unreliable because of alcohol and passage of 30 years or so. Never mind that according to NY Times accuser #2 admitted that she could not be certain that it was Kavenaugh at all. Their mutual friends do not recall any stories about that being made at the time. Seems rather convenient to make this accusation now.
By the way - why do you say "they got her drunk"? She was at a party with drinking, she chose to drink, and she got drunk. She had as much agency as anybody else at that party. Why do these narratives always assume women have no responsibility for their own actions?

and she knows that people like you will try to use that against her, but that she also knows it was Kavanaugh who stuck his dick in her face.
No, she admitted she doesn't. Btw, does she claim to remember any distinguishing features of said member? For example, Stormy saw Donald's dick and could describe it. Can Ramirez?

Shame on YOU, Trausti! Your partisan hysterics and attempts to twist the reports are shameful. Why aren't you calling on Kavanaugh to submit to an FBI investigation of the allegations instead of trying to shut it all down with your false claims.
What false claims? Is NY Times "fake news" because it does not wholeheartedly jump onto the "and crucify him well" bandwagon?

Please. How would you feel if your daughter was groped by that guy with his creepy friend in the room?
How would you feel if your son was falsely accused?

When I saw this Tweet I thought it was a joke. Apparently, not. This attack on Kavanaugh is not serious or sincere; it's the cavorting of the insane.
Even if all those Fs stand for what Avenetti says they stand for, why does he think it's more than high school humor?
Apparently his claim now is that Kavenaugh was some sort of high school Caligula.

As worded in The New Yorker story. She makes that pretty clear. Nowhere does she state "I looked up from the penis and seen it was attached to Kavenaugh".

A third male student then exposed himself to her. “I remember a penis being in front of my face,” she said. “I knew that’s not what I wanted, even in that state of mind.” She recalled remarking, “That’s not a real penis,” and the other students laughing at her confusion and taunting her, one encouraging her to “kiss it.” She said that she pushed the person away, touching it in the process. Ramirez, who was raised a devout Catholic, in Connecticut, said that she was shaken. “I wasn’t going to touch a penis until I was married,” she said. “I was embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated.” She remembers Kavanaugh standing to her right and laughing, pulling up his pants. “Brett was laughing,” she said. “I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants.” She recalled another male student shouting about the incident. “Somebody yelled down the hall, ‘Brett Kavanaugh just put his penis in Debbie’s face,’ ” she said. “It was his full name. I don’t think it was just ‘Brett.’ And I remember hearing and being mortified that this was out there.”

Well Mitch, scramble and see if you've still got the votes. You've got to move things along. No point waiting until Thursday. No hearings might be your best course of action now.

Something both you and Trausti seem intent on not answering: even assuming these allegations are false (they aren't):

Do you believe PERJURY is acceptable behavior from someone expected to arbitrate and interpret law?
Do you believe ILLEGAL use of emails is acceptable for someone ruling on the legality of wiretapping?
Do you believe shadowy debt and mysterious financial connections are acceptable for someone who must be immune to bribery, blackmail, and corruption?
Do you believe that someone who has supported the constitutionality of the Chinese exclusion act an racial profiling even in the face of a SCOTUS ruling to the counter of that opinion as "qualified to rule on constitutional law"?

This is a good point. Lying to the FBI is a crime and the accusers want to make their testimony to the FBI. The accused are the ones resisting.

SOP for that poster it seems. But ... SUBMIT? He shouldn't need to "submit" to anything if he's innocent - he should be clamoring for the FBI to clear his name - if he is innocent. But he's not clamoring. WHY?
Again, why is this even a thing? The guy LIED TO CONGRESS at least twice. If that doesn't disqualify him, how can anyone expect drunken highschool or college activities to have any bearing?

Another potential accuser. Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh faces more allegations – The Montgomery County Sentinel

Investigators in Montgomery County confirmed Monday they’re aware of a potential second sexual assault complaint in the county against former Georgetown Prep student and Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

While investigators weren’t specific and spoke on background, they said they are looking at allegations against Kavanaugh during his senior year in high school after an anonymous witness came forward this weekend.

Unclear if it's same as Avenatti's client.

Meanwhile...

Ed Whelan went all out to try and convince people some other guy (provided a name and photo) was guilty of the attempted assault.

Ed Whelan did this via the web, generally two sites, Zillow (the place made famous by Law and Order apparently) and LinkedIn... which tracks who's been looking at entries.
article - OpEd said:
Nevertheless, it appears someone communicated her name to Whelan before it was made public. (Last Sunday, “Ford alerted an associate via email that Whelan had looked at her LinkedIn page, according to the email, which was reviewed by The Post. LinkedIn allows some subscribers to see who views their pages. Ford sent the email about 90 minutes after The Post shared her name with a White House spokesman and hours before her identity was revealed in a story posted on its website.”)
IE, before the alleged victim's name was made public, Ed Whelan was digging around her LinkedIn site, trying to build a thesis that she has the wrong man.

I think that there is a reasonable chance that Ford will not testify this Thursday.

Journalism is dead.

When Donald Trump won his upset presidential victory in 2016, Christine Blasey Ford's thoughts quickly turned to a name most Americans had never heard of but one that had unsettled her for years: Brett Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh - a judge on the prestigious U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia - was among those mentioned as a possible replacement for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, who died in 2016. When Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch [1/2017], Ford was relieved but still uneasy.

Then Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement and Ford, 51, began fretting again.

Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford moved 3,000 miles to reinvent her life. It wasn't far enough.

WASHINGTON, Nov 17 [2017] (Reuters) - President Donald Trump has added five names to the list he will use to pick a nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court if a vacancy arises, the White House said on Friday.

U.S. Appeals Court Judges Brett Kavanaugh, Kevin Newsom and Amy Coney Barrett, Georgia Supreme Court Justice Britt Grant and Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Patrick Wyrick were added to the list, which now includes 25 names, the White House said in a statement.

This circus is getting more ridiculous by the day.

Do you believe a perjurer belongs on the SCOTUS? Do you believe someone willing to access documents illegally belongs there? Do you think someone with financial vulnerabilities belongs on the SCOTUS?

Nothing else really matters. If you do not believe a perjoring blackmail risk belongs on the Supreme Court, you have an obligation to fight his nomination. Period.

Rosenstein will be fired and Kavanaugh will get his job... then replace Sessions.

And no, it isn't that easy.
