At least a dozen more women have reportedly come forward with accusations of sexual assault and sex trafficking since Jeffrey Epstein, a New York money manager, was arrested for such crimes last weekend.

As the Miami Herald reported Thursday, at least 12 women have reached out to attorneys in New York and Palm Beach, Florida, with their claims about Epstein, 66.

This is getting to be a real circus from hell.

Convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein — a longtime close friend of President Donald Trump — payed hundreds of thousands of dollars in a witness tampering scheme, The New York Times reported Friday.
“Jeffrey Epstein, the financier facing sex-trafficking charges in New York, was accused of witness tampering on Friday by federal prosecutors, who said he wired $350,000 to two people who were potential witnesses against him,” the newspaper reported.

Can it get worse? Yes indeedy, it can get worse.

The firm that defended Epstein 15 years ago employed William Barr, Brett Kavanaugh, William Acosta and John Bolton. Good scary shit indeed.

proof?--aside from Acosta--that's well known.

 Kirkland & Ellis

Prominent attorneys to have worked at the firm include former appellate court judge Robert Bork, Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh, Clinton-era Special Counsel Ken Starr, and various Trump administration officials, including National Security Adviser John R. Bolton, Attorney General William Barr, former Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar.

Appearing on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” the author of “TrumpNation,” Tim O’Brien, claimed that the Southern District of New York investigators uncovered a wealth of photographic evidence from accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse that could clear up — or confirm — accusations made by a woman who claimed Donald Trump raped her in Epstein’s home in the ’90s.
Speaking with host Joy Reid, O’Brien noted that Epstein’s home has cameras in every room leading him to believe that there is a treasure trove of tapes showing criminality.

It just keeps getting better and better. Who is going to turn up on these tapes? I can hear sphincters clenching all over America.

Liberals are already lining up to condemn Clinton if the evidence shows he is involved.

That's the difference between authority fellators and the rest of us - they worship authority, the rest of us have principles.

Good. But it wasn't always that way.

Back in the '90's Democrats were very eager to defend Bill from the multiple rape accusations, much like Republicans today with Trump. The Clintons are yesterday's news, which is why it is safe to throw them to the mob.

Both sides are not the same, Jason, no matter how much you stomp your feet and insist so.
Also, it's not the 90s anymore.

Unlike the neanderthals in the GOP and libertarian side of things, many of us are capable of learning and wanting things to improve.

It makes me wonder, how many other wealthy sexual predators are doing similar things today but are flying under the radar?

Probably thousands. I wouldn't be surprised. Our culture offers no consequences for it. Men just won't hold each other accountable. Oh, yes, there's a small fraction of men who have the courage to call out misogynists and abusers for what they are, but most men, including a great man "good men," go along with the status quo no matter how disgusting or unjust it is because men in general cannot stand up to each other. Even if they have the wherewithal to recognize each other's bad behavior as such, it's too uncomfortable to stand up to abusers. It's much easier to let it go and even consider the child or the woman to be complicit in their own abuse because there is literally no consequences for men who do nothing. Just as I posted in another thread, men, particularly white men, do not have to care about women and children and so most of them simply do not.

“And the other interesting thing is Trump had a modeling agency, and Epstein also had a stake in a modeling agency, which they suspect he used to bring in underage girls from overseas,” she added. “There is a comment in one of the court files where Epstein is quoted as saying, ‘I want to set up my modeling agency the same way Trump set up his modeling agency.’ I don’t know what that means, but it is curious that he was trying to do something similar to Trump.”
...

This may get very interesting indeed.

We have the ongoing R. Kelly case. A wealthy man with a lot of enablers helping him. Bill Cosby of course.

So wealthy they're almost white in what they can get away with. Almost.

You hate White men. We get it.

Yeah, that's the ticket! ;) If white men are held accountable or their privilege exposed, it just means we hate them. How convenient! No glucose wasted there, right? We wouldn't want you to experience discomfort or anything, would we, sweetheart?

What's interesting to me, anyway, is that this gives us hoi polloi a window into New York high society. Epstein, it seems, knew a lot of rich and powerful people. I guess they all know each other. It's almost like high school. He was the cool kid, for some reason. But why would he know Woody Allen, George Snuffleupagus, and Katie Couric?

Or even the 2016 primary, which wasn't that long ago.

Unlike the neanderthals in the GOP and libertarian side of things, many of us are capable of learning and wanting things to improve.

Now that Clinton is expendable, the Democrats showed they are finally capable of learning and wanting things to improve - only after 2016.

Don't soft peddle it. This is going to hurt LOTS of Republicans and LOTS of Democrats. Now how many libertarians are involved in this? Ah yes, none.
