Greetings! Time for the annual fundraiser.Sorry for the late update, we normally start this early in October. Funds are needed to keep II and IIDB online. I was not able to get an IIDB based donations addon implemented for this year, I will make sure to have that done for next year. You can help support II in several ways, please visit the Support Us page for more info. Or just click:

I will try to track all donations from IIDB. Many thanks to those that have already donated. The current total is $778. If everyone dontated just $5, we would easily hit our goal.

Epstein arrested

That word salad doesn't mean much. Yes, some people misuse the word, often deliberately, like the dishonest attack on Derschowitz.

There certainly is. There is a huge difference between being sexually attracted to a 16 year old vs. an 8 year old. And a person who can't comprehend the difference is too far gone the rabbit hole of mindless moralizing to be helped.

.
It's pedophilia. And anyone who wants to have sex with 16 year olds, other than ~16 year olds, is a pedophile.
It's not. And again, 16 is legal in most US states, all of Canada, and most of Europe (and in many countries aoc is in fact even lower than 16!) To equate that with sex with prepubescent children is sick frankly.

I repeat, it's pedophilia. The only ones who I generally see try to claim it isn't, who fight this, are pedophiles who want to groom young teenagers.

Conflating attraction to post-pubescent teens with pedophilia does a grave disservice to people like me who were actual childhood victims of actual pedophiles.

But don't let that stop you.

It also infantalizes the victims in cases like the ones under discussion.

There needs to be almost as much (but different) a stigma for middle aged people grooming, sex trafficking adolescent teens as doing the same with eight year olds.

But getting everyone behind one word that has the punch of the inaccurate word pedophile is not going to happen though it should.

Adolescentophile?

Ok, can you agree that a higher level of punishment should be given for a 40 year old molesting an eight year old than a 15 year old? The latter still being strongly punished....

What was going on here? It seems like major-league negligence. Or else some of his jailers wanted to let him get himself out of the way, and save them from unpleasant visibility or whatever they might be worried about.

What happened was something that happens all the time in America's prison system. The one bit of solace that could have come out of this situation unfortunately was tied to the railroad tracks and run over by the conspiracy train.

Ephebophilia is when an adult is mostly or only sexually attracted to post-pubescent teenagers
...

Adult men grooming or trafficking or other wise abusing young girls like Epstein or Roy Moore is not socially acceptable. This should not be derailed by an argument about proper nomenclature.

Steven Mnuchin’s Mysterious Link to Creepy Epstein Model Scout

The Treasury secretary’s name shows up on official records for a company formed in the 1980s by Jeffrey Epstein’s close friend, the model scout Jean-Luc Brunel.

In the late 1980s—before he was a member of Donald Trump’s Cabinet, or even a high-rolling hedge-fund manager—Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin served in an official capacity for a business run by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most infamous associates.

In official records, Mnuchin is listed as the official state point of contact for Next Management Corporation, a company formed in 1988 by modeling-industry insiders Jean-Luc Brunel and Arnaud Brunel. At the time, Jean-Luc Brunel had just been the subject of a 60 Minutes documentary accusing him of drugging and raping at least three models. Later, he would be accused by two women of supplying girls to Epstein to be sexually abused. (Brunel has denied the allegations.)

Records accessed by The Daily Beast list Mnuchin as the New York Department of State process for Next Management Corporation. According to department officials, the DOS process is the person who files a company’s registration papers and receives lawsuits and other official documents on their behalf—usually a lawyer or some other legal representative.

Federal authorities arrested Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime confidant of Jeffrey Epstein, on Thursday in New Hampshire in connection with the late, accused sex trafficker, senior law enforcement officials said.

She was taken into custody at about 8:30 a.m. in Bedford and she's expected to be charged with allegedly conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors.

Multiple young women have accused Maxwell, 58, the youngest daughter of the late British publishing magnate Robert Maxwell, of complicity in Epstein's alleged sex trafficking ring.

It's also not considered a disorder. It's natural to be attracted to young, yet physically mature, people. Teen categories of porn sites are popular for a reason.
And a teenager can be an adult (18-19) or minor above age of consent (16-17 in many states). So it's not even necessarily a crime to act out on those attractions as long as it is consensual.

Yeah. I just wonder what specific type of "accident" Ghislaine will have. I'd be surprised if she survives long enough for trial.

Probably C-19. There's just no telling where she might have contacted it, and she's in a high risk group: "People who know things."

I'm sure it's a total coincidence that this happened just two weeks after Barr's failed attempt to purge leadership at SDNY. There's no way they were preparing to move on Maxwell and he got wind of it. Nope, nothing to see here. Move along.

Well this time they’re not going to just leave her to sit in a cell contemplating her future. I heard she’s going to be put to work in the cordage shop.

Following the arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell for sex abuse charges, the FBI is taking no chances in keeping her safe while she awaits trial. Sparing no expense, the FBI has hired top-notch Italian bodyguard Hiluigi Clintonelli.

“It's-a me, Clintonelli!” said the world-renowned bodyguard arriving at the prison.

Thanks to the particularly glowing reviews from high-profile individuals such as President Bill Clinton and Prince Andrew, all federal prison security checks were waived for Hiluigi. “There’s simply no one else that we trust to execute this job as she can.”

“Mamma mia, this simply will not do!” exclaimed Hiluigi Clintonelli as she forcefully cleared the room. She warned that anyone other than her could be a threat to Ghislaine’s life.

Clintonelli also connected all camera feeds to her personal server to ensure that all recorded video was properly secured.

It's not really funny. Maybe if you included both Clinton and Trump, it'd be funny. As it is, you appear very, very biased. So, it just doesn't come across as anything but mean-spirited. Try again?

Now, on the other hand, if you did something very appropo with recent Trump photoshopped image by Fox News that might also be funny, even if one-sided...like ZiprHead did.

But just jumping to Clintons like they are on everyone's minds only appeals to conservatives, if anyone at all.

Anyhoo, if you think about this woman in jail, what are all the forces that want her dead? What are all the forces that want her alive? I am not seeing how she is going to make it.

I think she will very probably survive. Most FBI agents are serious about doing their job, and they will likely have resources this time - else, it would be a seriously big scandal.

And if some people are really so powerful and so worried, it's a better course of action to obtain her silence by a combination of carrots and sticks. They can talk to her lawyer, made it clear that if she does not talk, she will live and had many millions waiting for her when she gets out. But if she does talk, she will be targeted everywhere.

Anyway, how about this: we come back to this thread a year from now, and see what happened.

There's only two ways I can see for her to survive:
  1. tell it ALL to the FBI in a series of sworn affidavits and backed up by a treasure trove of evidence she no doubt kept as insurance, so that her silence is no longer an imperative;
  2. tell it ALL to the FBI, only let them know that she's keeping a few key, high-level things back, which she tells a series of lawyers and other people, with instructions to release it on her death (and then this is in turn known to the people who would want her killed).

My guess is, she's already taken the second route.

In case 2 why does she need to tell all? The important bit is some things that will only come out upon her death.

Tell all about the people who are NOT likely to have her killed. Say nothing about the people with the resources (including access) to kill her, in a tacit agreement to live and let live.

Tell all about the people who are NOT likely to have her killed. Say nothing about the people with the resources (including access) to kill her, in a tacit agreement to live and let live.

She needs to tell a significant amount about everyone on her list so that everyone knows she knows what she knows and no one on a lower tier power structure decides to try to kill her to prevent her from telling a significant amount about everyone on her list. The only reason those people would try to kill her is to stop her from telling their secrets, so if she already has, there is no need to kill her.

She needs to hold back some even bigger bombshells against a select few top of the top sociopaths--and let them know those bombshells will be released on her untimely death--as an insurance fail safe so that those in higher power over the others will control them AND not kill her just to stop her from living or testifying in person, etc.

Mutually Assured Destruction. Everyone needs to know that she knows a LOT and has told the FBI most; but certain people need to know she has even more damaging information on them--that she has given to several others who will release it upon her untimely death--as added incentive to scare the worst of the worst.

My guess is that Epstein thought he was immune (considering his earlier get-out-jail-free debacle) and perhaps did not take additional insurance-oriented steps to maintain that immunity. So when he realized he wasn't and was going to actually face prison, that's when he killed himself (or let it be known he didn't take any such steps and he wouldn't rat, etc and that's when they decided to kill him).

What'shername, otoh, was watching all of that unfold and thus had significant time to plot and plan her insurance policies and realize it was only a matter of time that they came for her.

Ghislaine Maxwell Is Denied Bail by Judge Who Calls Her a Flight Risk - The New York Times
The judge, Alison J. Nathan of Federal District Court in Manhattan, said Ms. Maxwell had demonstrated a sophisticated ability to hide herself and obscure her financial resources.

Prosecutors argued at the hearing that Ms. Maxwell had provided “implausible” statements about her finances, including that she had no income.

“Ms. Maxwell poses a substantial actual risk of flight,” Judge Nathan said.

...
At Tuesday’s hearing, Ms. Maxwell pleaded not guilty to the charges, which include transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, conspiracy and perjury.

She has been in federal custody since her arrest on July 2.

Ms. Maxwell’s lawyer, Mark S. Cohen, sought to distance his client from Mr. Epstein, telling the judge, “She’s not the monster that’s been portrayed by the media and the government.”

...
Ms. Moe said Ms. Maxwell also told court officials that she had no income. She questioned that assertion, saying it was unlikely that Ms. Maxwell could live her lifestyle without any money coming in from a possible inheritance or trust accounts.

“It just doesn’t make sense,” Ms. Moe said.

In 2019, when she opened a Swiss bank account, Ms. Maxwell indicated that her annual income was at least $200,000, with a net worth more than $10 million, Ms. Moe said.

...
Mr. Epstein dated Ms. Maxwell and paid her to manage his properties, according to prosecutors. In 2003, he described her in a Vanity Fair article as his best friend.

At the time of his death, Ms. Maxwell and Mr. Epstein had not had any contact for more than a decade, according to her lawyers.
The bail hearing was entirely virtual, done online.

I marvel at how she, as a woman, was willing to assist Mr. Epstein in his lechery.

I really want to know where Epstein made his money. So the guy was a math teacher at some private high school, and next thing you know, he was apparently moving billions as a currency trader and mystery financier, with connections to many people in the top echelons of power, but no one seems to have actually traded currency with the guy?

I thought she was charged with participating in it.
I'm asking that because I don't think that she would want to be treated like Mr. Epstein's targets.

The bodies are starting to pile up. There was a case about to be set before a federal judge concerning the Epstein scandal: Deustche Bank having been accused of misleading its investors and failing to monitor cases like Epstein's. The Judge set to preside over the case, Esther Salas, was in her basement this evening when an assassin entered her home disguised as a Fedex worker, and shot her husband and son. The son has died, the husband is in critical condition. Echoes of the Pelican Brief?

But it may well be a coincidence. She is the only Latina district judge in New Jersey, and already notorious for some previous cases involving the wealthy and powerful of that state. So really, there may be any number of conspiracies tied to the incident.

Huh, the U.S. prosecutor killed in Seattle in 2001

The suspected shooter has killed himself. Hard to get a more conspiratorial setup, but Epstein's only marginally related to the Deutsche Bank case.

Actually, I suspect her husband was the target. Defending bad guys sometimes brings retaliation if you're not successful.

An attorney who rose to prominence in the men's rights movement was shot and killed at his mountain home on Saturday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives are investigating the death of 52-year-old Marc Angelucci as a homicide.

County deputies responded to reports of a shooing around 4 p.m. Saturday on Glenwood Drive in Cedarpines Park, an unincorporated mountain community northwest of Crestline.

They found Angelucci "responsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds," according to a press release. He died at the scene.

Angelucci was the vice president and board member of the National Coalition for Men. He was the longtime president of the group's Los Angeles chapter, which he founded.

"Marc was an unbelievably generous man, living on a shoestring despite some personal health challenges so he could donate many millions of dollars of his time to mostly voluntary legal work on behalf of men’s rights and the genuine gender equality that is so badly needed in this country and this world," said a statement from NCFM.

I am sure the police will be looking at the travel records of this home invasion killer to see if this is related. Lunatics also kill people on their side if they feel disrespected. Maybe Marc was an actual men's right activist and not a misogynist freak like this guy and he told him to fuck off in some correspondence.

Oh woah, they need to get Hollander's full financial and travel records now

On the Saturday before last, July 11, just before 4 pm, my dear and wonderful friend Marc Angelucci was at his home in Glenwood Drive, Cedar Pines Park, California with friends.

There was a knock at the door.

One of his friends’ answered, but the delivery man said he had a package that Angelucci needed to sign for.

Marc went to the door.

Shots were fired.

A car sped away.

His friends called for help.

Paramedics arrived.

Angelucci was pronounced dead at the scene.

On a Saturday afternoon, at his own front door, formidable lawyer Marc Angelucci, 52, was murdered.
