It's pretty telling that (as far as I have heard) Obama hasn't come right out in support of Biden. I think he realizes the winds have shifted enough, and he'll just endorse whoever gets the nod.Bernie has electability issues because of everything he is, including pretty darn old for a sitting POTUS. His age is a very serious issue, as age is for Biden. I used to think that age was a serious impediment to Warren's potential presidency but she seems to be holding up extremely well on the campaign trail. I think it's an issue but not as big a one.
Biden is seen as electable by a bunch of people because he's old school. He represents a return to normalcy, and is a more known factor. Plus, he was with Obama for 8 years so some of that aura still sits on his shoulders.
Bernie seems to appeal most to younger adults who, ironically (which is what that generation thinks they are all about: their grasp of irony) support grumpy grandpa while simultaneously holding some pretty nasty beliefs and feelings about Boomers.
Warren appeals to women who have been around a block or at least half way around a block or two.
I would love to know who Obama really wants to win, though.
I don't know how telling it really is. Former POTUS do not usually endorse current candidates and make a point to not comment on the performance of the sitting POTUS.
But yeah: I'd like to know who his candidate is. And Michelle's.
