Pelosi: Impeachment Is Moving Forward

I said it a long time ago... I got the name wrong, but the concept is still sound... (as much as I bach the Dems for being incompetent politicians...)

The Dems know that Trump's best political strategy is to burn down his competition... with what "people are saying".. and all..
I thought that there were so many candidates to obscure the "real" runner. Hold Biden up as "The One".. let Trump spill all his beans on the table... then pull the switcho chango and raise Warren up as the candidate.. psych!

Get him to fire off all his ammo so trying to attack the "real" candidate just sounds like a broken record. I thought that Biden was the real candidate.. comeing in a little late and all... but maybe there is a secret other.. or Warren is "the man"...

Well, today Republicans will be talking about "leaks", instead of talking about how top US envoys were communicating with each other, quite alarmed about Trump's Ukrainian plans. Can see now why Volker quit.

And Trump will tweet Volker was a loser.

article said:
"Are we now saying that security assistance and WH meeting are conditioned on investigations?" Taylor texted Sondland on September 1.

"Call me," Sondland responded. The context of Taylor's text message is not clear from the messages released by the committee.
The GOP in the House and a few in the Senate are kind of in a fucked situation as they were pivoting on Quid Pro Quo. Now that it seems established, their only option is to whine about leaking... instead of getting this asshole out of the White House.

Trouble is, Pompeo seems involved, Pence might be involved, and Perry sounds like he is resigning (not certain whether Volker style or disgrace style).

text exchange between Sondland and Taylor said:
19, 12:31 :06 Bill Taylor: The message to the Ukrainians (and Russians)
we send with the decision on security assistance is key. With the hold, we have
already shaken their faith in us. Thus my nightmare scenario.

[9/9/19, 12:34:44 Bill Taylor: Counting on you to be right about this
interview, Gordon.

[9/9/19, 12:37:16 Gordon Sondland: Bill, I never said I was ?right?. I said
we are where we are and believe we have identi?ed the best pathway forward.
Lets hope it works.

[9/9/19, 12:47:11 Bill Taylor: As 1 said on the phone, I think it?s crazy to
withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.

19, 5:19:35 Gordon Sondland: Bill, Ibelieve you are incorrect about
President Trump?s intentions. The President has been clear no quid pro
quo?s of any kind. The President is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly
going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensky promised
during his campaign I suggest we stop the back and forth by text If you still have
concerns I recommend you give Lisa Kenna or a call to discuss them directly.
Thanks.

One of these Ambassadors is a professional diplomat. The other Ambassador founded a hotel business. One guess who is who. There will be so much weight by the GOP on Sondland's "clear on no quid pro quo", but the professional diplomats are looking at this and thinking... ah....

As President I have an obligation to end CORRUPTION, even if that means requesting the help of a foreign country or countries. It is done all the time. This has NOTHING to do with politics or a political campaign against the Bidens. This does have to do with their corruption!
:hysterical:

No, but seriously...
:hysterical:

Having trouble maintaining my composure here. President Trump, the guy who offloaded his failing debt saturated casinos to the public company he created at a premium rate in order to get away filthy rich instead of destitute is saying he is on a mission to end corruption.

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Next thing he'll tell us was he was "testing" the Ukrainian leader to see if he was corrupt.

No, this was a 'sting' to expose anarchist elements of the government. He, Pence, Pompeo, Guliana, and Barr all went about finding the disloyalists....

Here's the argument Trump has formulated and is seriously putting forward:
  1. The entire US (and allied) intelligence community is out to destroy me, because they all irrationally love Hillary Clinton and are forever pissed that I beat her.
  2. I can't, therefore, trust any of them to investigate the Bidens, in spite of the fact that I already know there is nothing to investigate.
  3. I need to threaten the newly elected President of the Ukraine for his help in bringing non-political justice to this terrible tragedy of nepotism that I suddenly and ironically care so very deeply about, except when it comes to my own family.

Here's the truth:
  1. I can't win without cheating, so I need to threaten the newly elected President of the Ukraine--who fawned all over me and essentially is me--to manufacture evidence against my likely opponent.

This has never been about investigating true crime. This was a shake down to force the very "hoax" Trump falsely claims was perpetrated against him. It's so transparent, it's air. But, of course, no one can ask, "Didn't you simply want Zelensky to create a fake version of the real Steele dossier against you?"

The difference with the China statement was there was quid pro quo, he just asks them to do it... of which China will say "WTF?! Why is this guy still the leader?"

Of course, revelations that Trump told China the US would hold its tongue while China dealt harshly with protests in Hong Kong while they worked out a trade deal indicates Trump is a fucking moron willing to sacrifice the little goodwill image the US has left for personal gains so he can claim a quasi-victory over China in a trade war that never needed to be waged.

I assume you mean to say with China there was no quid pro quo.

I fully support the President's desire to get to the bottom of any and all instances of nepotism and conflicts of interest and prosecute those guilty to the fullest extent of the law. So, Ukraine, China, especially, if you're listening: The Nepotism Might Finally Be Too Much to Ignore

It's wonderful to see the President finally getting serious about seeking justice for any such conflicts across party lines, having nothing whatsoever to do with the 2020 election.

ETA: Oh, yeah, I almost forgot these 2,310 (and counting) conflicts and the Turtle's own.

You GO GET THEM MR. PRESIDENT! We're 100% behind you.

TRUMP: I did it.
PENCE: Sir, are you suspecting or accusing? You hzve to say.
PELOSI: He's bragging.
T: i accuse Me. I shot Mr. Body. With my revolver. On 5th Avenue.
NUNES: I simply will not stand for someone talking about the President this way!
AOC: He IS the President!
Pelosi: Don't remind me.
N: Even so!
T: I can accuse me. I have the best accusations. Because i was there.
N: No, i don't believe it.
GULIANA: i have hidden the memos about the plan to shoot Body. No one will ever see them.
PELOSI: Can i see those?
G: sure, here.

I'm thinking more along the lines where the power goes out, a gun shot, power back on, person dead, Trump is holding the gun.

*bickering back and forth*

Power goes out again. Screams of pain. Power on. Person stabbed to death. Trump's hands are bloody and holding a knife.

*bickering back and forth*

Power out again... loud thud. Power on. Person squashed by large gold safe with Trump etched on it.

*bickering back and forth*

Republicans silent on Trump's call for China to investigate Biden - CNNPolitics
CNN contacted the offices of more than 80 Republican lawmakers in the House and Senate to see if any had concerns about President Donald Trump's remarkable public call for China to investigate Joe Biden, a leading Democratic candidate to replace him as President, and Biden's son Hunter.
Only a few responded; just one expressed misgivings to CNN, although two others had earlier released similar statements.
Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, and Will Hurd were the only critical ones. Marco Rubio claimed that Trump was trolling the news media.

No quid pro quo with China, unlike with Ukraine, but Trump has a possible quid for China's quo: reduced tariffs.

But it's good that House Democrats are going ahead and impeaching that motherfucker.
