The issue at the border is that the people cross illegally. They are 'little people' legally, technically they have no rights.
Um, that's not true. They technically do have rights.

Pretty sure all those countries give preferential treatment to their own citizens as opposed to foreigners. Sad that those countries are better than the US on that.
I'm sure it could be arranged to take away your children and lock you up in a cage for a few years, since you're jealous.
Or maybe you'd like a job in a meat-packing plant in Nebraska? You can pay taxes and not have to vote - a benefit to all of us!
Standard clap trap rhetoric.
The issue at the border is that the people cross illegally. They are 'little people' legally, technically they have no rights. Here in Seattle, a sanctuary city, progressives' get worked up because illegal immigrants are stuck as little people, and they are.
The reason they are stuck where they are is that they came here illegibly. In the PC media long ago undocumented immigrants, inferring a normalcy and legality, replacing the term illegal's immigrants.
The root cause of the chaos at the border is our immigration policy, or the lack thereof. And that is the fault of congress, not border agencies.
I see it here in Seattle up close and personal. Unless you have to deal with it you can sit back in comfort and moralize and intellectualizedas you please.
They do not have the rights of citizens. There are some progressives who want to grant any and all ilegal immigraaaaants.,
I watched a eattle school board meeting on a govt channe;. A black African womn who could barely speak English was outraged that her kid who does not speak English was falling behind in school, and what was going to be dome about other. There were several others with similar complaints.
The primary ducation system as we have it began in the early 20th century as in part a systm to facilitate immigrant assimilation. IOW rading and writing English.
The education system can not possibly coope with an uncontrolled steam of immigrants without English, education, and skills.
The progressive mantra is that we railways had immigration. That was in a different era.
Our immigration policy or lack of it is creating a permanent 'little people' underclass with little hope of breaking out.
On the flip side there are legal immigrant success stories. Search on Chobani yougurt. A mid east immigrant bought out a yougurt company and turned it into a success. Makes a point of hiring immigrants.

Legal immigration is good, always has been in context of the times. Uncontrolled illegal immigration is bad.
I spent time at a large contract m manufacturing company started by immigrants from Taiwan. It was a clearing house for legal immigrants. It is a long list. A smaller vision was stared in Seattle by Vietnamese immigrants.
I can go places in Settle where there are Latino families living on the street in tents. Neat, clean, and orderly but on th streets.
In 51 wgen I was born an Italian or other immigrant who arrived did not need a lot of English to work contruction or manufacturing. Those days are gone.
I spent some time in the 90s in the Silver Valley in Idaho. Silver mines. I talked with an old retired miner. He talked about where the different immigrant groups lived in the valley and how they could not communicate with each other. They did not have to. Hard rock mining was not rocket science..
Yeah, but apparently, we now see what a lot of people want to do with the 'little people'. I mean, if they have no rights, just feed them to the fucking sharks, right?[

So why don't you just go back to Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, Canada or whatever communist hell-hole you come from; and let real American men make the brave decisions we need, like which cultural/ethnic/gender groups are getting too uppity? JWNRU.
Thank you for pointing out this obvious fact that is so often forgotten. This is America. You have many rights by virtue of being a human being in our jurisdiction.
I wish the people who want the little people to just starve out of sight would have the honesty to just say that.
To say, “I don’t want to give them food, I don’t want them to have jobs, I don’t want them in my schools. I want to be one of the remote elite who does not have to see that.” “Let them eat cake.”
But it’s interesting to have the discussion where they say all the reasons that leave an implication that they don’t want to know what happenes to them, they give all kinds of reasons why one should not have to be responsible for what happens to them, how their plight is their own fault, how their (poor people’s) presence is taking away some of their (person answering’s) comfort, but they somehow realize how awful it feels to be honest and answer the question, “what do you want to do with them?” With what they REALLY want to DO with them. And that is, not see, not care, and if it’s starvation, it is not their problem.
Let me be clear - what is interesting here is not that they say they don’t care, it’s that they don’t say that - they only imply it. But they work really really hard to make sure the implication is clear. It is that they very much want to be in the conversation to talk about why it’s not monstrous to not care, but they have that twinge of realization that it’s really bad to say so.
Very interesting.
Steve in answer to the question “what do you want to do with the little people,”. What’s you honest answer? I stipulate all of your points about how underserving they are. Now what do you want to do with all those starving undeserving people? So far you’ve not expressed any desire to keep them from dying, so is that your answer? Let them die, kids and all?
Do you have anyone in mind?
As far as I can tell, I haven't seen anyone on this thread that seems to resemble that distinction.

Really.
Steve Bank is one. RVonse is one. Loren skirts close to it.
I have no idea what they really think, but this is the way they are answering this thread, so it seems to be their own opinion.
ANyway, thats my observation.

I do not want to starve them out. We should provide survival to all our citizens, I just feel the able-bodied shouldn't be handed more than the minimum.

No limits or barriers set for building tremendous wealth and power through exploitation, where an individual may accumulate greater wealth than some nation states.....yet heaven forbid that we help people who get left behind, those, who for any number of reasons, are excluded.
