Rittenhouse/Kenosha Shooting Split

That's what I asked in the first place, which nobody has answered.*

*I have made a slight adjustment to my question, in case the word 'enrolled' is specifically for people enrolled in a degree rather than a non-award course.

The off topic vacuous question of the veracity of a statement that Rittenhouse didn’t make is not being answered most likely because it is transparently vacuous and off topic and attempts to make a point of the veracity of something that the accused never said.

You’ve been given clear information. If you make a deliberate choice to not process it, you will have to just watch your attempted straw man stand lonely on a dark corner by itself.

No, I have not been given the information I was after.

Metaphor, it was only accurate to say he was studying at ASU giving him the most generous interpretation, it was said in a deceptive lawyerly way. His attorney told him how to say it, because if it were up to him, he would be saying he was a professor there.

It's all of piece regarding his m.o. See, the scientific term for KR's identity is self-aggrandizer. It's why he called himself an EMT, why he said he had a job to protect people there, why he said he was a member of the Antioch Fire Department. On the night of the shooting, he was a high school dropout, and presumably wanted to feel more accomplished, which is not a crime in itself. Until it gets it in his head he can be important by playing armed guy on patrol of a combat zone for the confidence buzz, and just so happens to get a couple of people killed.

His victims aren't so innocent either though. Rosenbaum imo basically pulled a death by cop, by getting in a fight with a guy with an AR. He was the bigger dumbass that night, if possible. I still don't think KR had justification to shoot him. He had the right to defend himself, but that right is proportionate to the threat. JR didn't pose an immediate deadly threat. The main one who did was Grosskreutz, the guy with a hangun, that guy shouldn't be waiving it around either.

The bigger cause of these deaths is our insane gun laws, that allow people to freely walk around openly carrying military style weapons. I vote to convict America of all charges.

No, I have not been given the information I was after.

You were after some straw.
Everyone saw that you were building a straw man and they didn’t want to play your transparent game.

You’re still after some straw.
Have fun with that.

That might be. For my own purposes, I would like to know if he was in a registered course offered by ASU that was nursing related, at the time he made that statement.

His attorney told him how to say it, because if it were up to him, he would be saying he was a professor there.
I think rather the opposite. It seems to me Rittenhouse wouldn't have engaged in any 'trial tactics' at all without being coached by a lawyer. Who knows what 'trial tactics' to engage in without legal help? I wouldn't.

I disagree. If those things were true then his statement would be a lie. As it was, it was merely deceptive, whether intentionally or not, because many people would interpret being “a student *at* a university” in quite a different way.

At least based on my understanding of the meaning of the word “deceptive”.
His statement might have misled, but whether it was a lie or not depends on his intention.

Nevertheless, nobody has answered my question. Is he enrolled in a nursing-related course, offered by ASU?
I didn’t say he lied. But you can be deceptive without lying. In fact that’s perfectly consistent with the common definition of “deceptive”.

I'm after an answer to the question. Wanting an answer to a question is not a straw man. I believe nobody in this thread knows the answer, unless they have a source in addition to the 'fact check' source quoted in this thread.

oh my the goalposts have moved. gee go figure...
The goal posts have not moved. I have clarified my question, because I have just learned of a peculiar, narrow application of the word 'enrolled' that appears to be unique to the United States.
yeah because american english is difficult for half-assed mountain boys.

Entertainingly, one would think that if the course had any relevance, or if the admissions process were even slightly complete, Rittenhouse’s attorney would be the one to answer your questions?

Ever wonder why they haven’t? The rest of us have figured it out…

Rittenhouse's defense team did not respond to requests for comment on his courses, admission to the University or any other details. It is unclear whether Rittenhouse plans to use the classes he's taking as prerequisite credits to later apply for admission to the University's nursing school.

This is not the first time Rittenhouse has made false statements about his experience relating to health care. In an interview the night of the shooting, Rittenhouse told a reporter he was an EMT, which he admitted was not true during trial Wednesday.

No. My only reference point was the 'fact check' posted on this thread.

Now, to both lie *and* be deceptive is to say you are “immunized” against covid when someone asks you if you’ve been vaccinated.

so basically to lie means to vocalize, to be deceptive is silent....

no,
it addresses the absurdity of australian english being malformed via international developers responsible for the extension's programming versus the accepted difference between appearance and audio tonal control.
in other words, bull
shit
is both observed and heard....

Don't apologise. Your posts are generally too incomprehensible to be actually insulting.

It's obviously a defense tactic to make him more sympathetic to the jury.
We've already established that employing trial tactics does not change whether he is innocent or guilty.

What we haven't established is whether, on this particular question, Rittenhouse has somehow been dishonest or deceptive. But the pearl-clutching hysteria continues.
The timing makes it fairly self evident.
Makes what self evident? That it's a trial tactic? I disagree.

Previously, Rittenhouse expressed strong admiration for abs aspirations to become a police officer. That’s a pretty big career switch with interesting timing.
When I was 17, I was seriously deciding between information technology, psychology, and law degrees. I sought advice from people I knew who were already in one of those courses. One of the responses I got was "those three things are very different". True though that was, I was interested in all three.

In any case, so what? Let's say he started an online course with the sole purpose of garnering jury sympathy. I would do the same if I were innocent and thought it would help.
And you would do it if you thought you’d be found guilty. I am certain that Rite house has not one single doubt that he is 100% innocent. That’s the scary part.

Most 17 year olds hold many different abs perhaps conflicting career abs life aspirations. Rittenhouse’s is just ….very conveniently timed.

And you would do it if you thought you’d be found guilty.
Probably, unless I had accepted guilt and was willing to pay the price.

But the point is, in either case, as we both agree, the use of trial tactics don't reflect on guilt or innocence.
