Had 125,000 died from an earthquake that dragged California into the Pacific, in a massive eruption from a volcano, via an unprecedented winter event, a tsunami of mythological proportions, an minor, but notable, asteroid impact, it'd be viewed as a tragedy, flags at half mast for months, solemn national mourning. In most any other circumstances, had 125,000 Americans died in about a month due to a single cause, there would be an onslaught of Congressional investigations to enact measures to ensure something like that never happens again.

Instead, people are actually cheering for enacting policies to exacerbate the pandemic, even when hospital cases were peaking to record levels, AGAIN! If Congress were to investigate the pandemic and determine what could be done to stop this from happening again, the ultimate conclusions would be stupidity and stubbornness apparently can act as comorbidities and you simply can't fix stupid.

We have an entire political party in the US that seems centered around some misconception of what individual rights and responsibilities entail and which worships Ayn Rand (the silent part) and Donald Trump, the braying dunce. Whether or not someone is GOP or GOP adjacent, this atmosphere has emboldened a lot of of people to brag about what they would otherwise keep quiet, in some mistaken belief that it makes them a rugged individualist instead of someone too insecure to consider anyone's needs other than their own.

Talked to a guy I know who was in the J&J trial and they tested him for antibodies before.
