Harris will likely win

Barring something drastic happening, I think it will be a big win for Harris.
Yeah, and then trump will try to steal it.

Doesn't necessarily mean he will succeed. He also tried before and failed.
But this time, he has a much more sophisticated and detailed game plan. They’ve been planning this for four years.
Yes, but he still can fail. I don't know how exactly, just saying it can happen lol.

I am more hopeful than optimistic.
Wish it was otherwise; not much chance that all the anxiety about it is gonna go away any time soon.
Nazis make me uncomfortable.
I'm a secular Jew who happened to be born with a genetic condition, so you could say I'm not very comfortable about them either. :p

Or for that matter any bullshit that tries to distract from them.

To all yanks
We do not envy the choice you have to make (well those of you could be fagged voting)

Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, v Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, Please, don't elect Trump.

Sincerely, in anticipation,
The rest of the world

Plus we have to deal with the insane electoral college, so my vote counts more than yours since you live in a blue state and I live in one of the purple states that will determine the outcome of this election. It's insane that we still have this antiquated way of voting.

Then there is voter apathy. I witnessed it when I was still working and I sure hope those young women, who are now getting a bit closer to middle age, have wised up. A close friend of mine's, two kids never voted until they were in their 50s. Trump scared the shit out of them, so they finally voted in 2020.

Every election cycle we hear about how the young people are very motivated, very activist, and that because of this they're going to swing the election in the Dems favor. They're also very vocal on the internet, but they consistently show up in disproportionally low numbers, often finding excuses to not vote due to some minor imperfection in a candidate.

Their house is burning down along with everything in it, but they're worried about the smoke from the fire being bad for the environment.

Speaking as someone who knows the young people in question all too well.. I would not assume that their turnout would necessarily help the Democrats. They are mostly apathetic about national politics, but those who aren't are activists to the core, suspicuous at best of the value of their grandparents' "status quo".

American politics is currently a shit show and this is all they know and have seen. I can't blame their indifference. They don't get that Trump is a conman. The press has done a shit job of really explaining the fraud of "the Fraud". Or when they do, it is TLDR;.

I kinda' gotta disagree. When they started calling it "Roevember" I think where their votes are going and how motivated they are is pretty clear.

I won't totally disagree with your assumption about young people, based on the ones who I worked with for prior to retirement, but at least here in Georgia, I have personally spoken to numerous young men and women, both Black and white who have voted for Harris during early voting or who have assured me they will vote for her today. I'm not going to assume that young people are still apathetic about voting, at least not in Georgia. I'm hoping they will be more like my own generation. We had to wait until we were 21 to vote and we were extremely excited and motivated when we got that right. Most of us who voted for Dems when we were young, still vote for Dems. I assume the same is true for those who voted for Republicans as well. My generation was always a very divided one, and likely still is. That. is probably true about most or all generations, which is why I try not to make assumptions about any of them.

I did a show of hands in one of my large classes today and found that around 80% had voted or planned to. Of course, college students are more likely to vote than your average citizen, but I was still happy to see such a high proportion.

I voted last week during early voting. My mom did, sister, aunts and uncles. No one in the family is sitting it out.

While I do hold the media responsible for being so negligent, I apply that idea a lot less when it comes to the 18-30 demographic.

At this point my attitude is that it's their country to lose. They're plenty loud about all kinds of shit. Much like Trump supporters, the internet is crammed with leftist young people spouting out obnoxious black and white opinions. I understand that that's not the entirety of that demographic, but if all these voices actually voted, it would make a difference.

But they won't vote in the numbers it would require to make any difference.

Fuck it. It's their problem should Trump win.

The upside to a Harris win is that cities across America won't get those large protest-turned-looting/burning events. Yay! No burned cars! No antifa clowns!
(Somwhere, right now, is a printing press waiting to make the signs to denounce Trump and march in solidarity)

The same doesn't happen if Kamala wins.
The DC stores are not boarding up today for some MAGA invasion of looters.

So having no chaos in the cities would be some relief, given I live in a large metro area where crime has soared in recent years.
I did buy $300 in groceries today. Just in case someone lights L.A. on fire...or my grocery store.

The same doesn't happen if Kamala wins.
Yeah the apricot would never organize and incite an attempt to keep power by force.
Again.
It looks like he won’t have to, right now.
Damn, ‘Murkins are fucking stupid.

You think groceries are getting cheaper under Trump? Are you that clueless on economics?

Groceries are not a major concern for me. Restoring crime laws, restoring girls rights in sports in title IX, ending gender affirmation policies eapecially ones that can take children from a parent (!), dismantling dei and marginalized (xyz) community identity nonsense, curbing useless wars, shrinking government. Just common sense. It was tried their way and it fails...big time.

In CA, a bill to make crime have consequences again ( prop 36) is passing by huge margins. Kamala supported it like every other insane progressive policy ruining California.
Yesterday, Kamala was asked about how she voted on prop 36 (making theft and drug crimes have serious consequences again), she would not answer saying she didn't want to sway the vote either way. She can't answer on crime, or equity, or trans surgeries.... because her actual positions are all VERY unpopular to most Americans.

Or win, depending on your sympathies. No regime change ever happened without an army of angry young men to enforce it.
They won't win.

And what "army of angry young men" are you referring to? Gen Z is chock full of cowards hiding behind their computer screens complaining that everyone else hasn't taught them about everything. Hell, they're afraid to talk to girls let alone actually willing to give their lives for the things they've been screeching about for years not.

The only viable "army of angry young men" are voting for Trump. It will be easy to recruit half a million of them for paramilitary purposes. If the official armed forces don't want to do it, then they'll do the dirtiest of the dirty work for them. Gladly.
