I'm a secular Jew who happened to be born with a genetic condition, so you could say I'm not very comfortable about them either.
Plus we have to deal with the insane electoral college, so my vote counts more than yours since you live in a blue state and I live in one of the purple states that will determine the outcome of this election. It's insane that we still have this antiquated way of voting.
Every election cycle we hear about how the young people are very motivated, very activist, and that because of this they're going to swing the election in the Dems favor. They're also very vocal on the internet, but they consistently show up in disproportionally low numbers, often finding excuses to not vote due to some minor imperfection in a candidate.

Speaking as someone who knows the young people in question all too well.. I would not assume that their turnout would necessarily help the Democrats. They are mostly apathetic about national politics, but those who aren't are activists to the core, suspicuous at best of the value of their grandparents' "status quo".
American politics is currently a shit show and this is all they know and have seen. I can't blame their indifference. They don't get that Trump is a conman. The press has done a shit job of really explaining the fraud of "the Fraud". Or when they do, it is TLDR;.
I kinda' gotta disagree. When they started calling it "Roevember" I think where their votes are going and how motivated they are is pretty clear.
I won't totally disagree with your assumption about young people, based on the ones who I worked with for prior to retirement, but at least here in Georgia, I have personally spoken to numerous young men and women, both Black and white who have voted for Harris during early voting or who have assured me they will vote for her today. I'm not going to assume that young people are still apathetic about voting, at least not in Georgia. I'm hoping they will be more like my own generation. We had to wait until we were 21 to vote and we were extremely excited and motivated when we got that right. Most of us who voted for Dems when we were young, still vote for Dems. I assume the same is true for those who voted for Republicans as well. My generation was always a very divided one, and likely still is. That. is probably true about most or all generations, which is why I try not to make assumptions about any of them.
While I do hold the media responsible for being so negligent, I apply that idea a lot less when it comes to the 18-30 demographic.
Or win, depending on your sympathies. No regime change ever happened without an army of angry young men to enforce it.

Groceries are not a major concern for me. Restoring crime laws, restoring girls rights in sports in title IX, ending gender affirmation policies eapecially ones that can take children from a parent (!), dismantling dei and marginalized (xyz) community identity nonsense, curbing useless wars, shrinking government. Just common sense. It was tried their way and it fails...big time.
They won't win.
