His public commentary was nuanced and guarded because the information was incomplete and it was a hot button issue. He got more and more clear and precise as more information came in.
In the same vein, speaking freely is taking the 1st like a traitor; Carrying a gun is taking the second like a murderer.
We have an administration with a proven record of trying to turn innocent people into criminals. It would behoove us all to deny them any ammunition to further such treachery.
But some of our corporations do benefit the general public. I am typing on the internet now because several corporations made that possible. Yes I am frequently upset and not satisfied with corporate leadership and them shoving something like AI down my throat just for their profit. But when that happens, I at least have the final option not to buy from them anymore. I can cut them completely off by not spending my money. You just can't do that with the government. Try not paying your taxes if you become pissed with the government (at any level) and see what happens. Look at how ICE treats people today and ICE is just one arm of the government. So between corporations versus the government, I am far far more scared of our government than I am of any corporation. At least in France the government still fears the people more than the people fear their government. That is not true in the USA today. We clearly are more fearful of our government than our government fears the people. Our government is supposed to be for the people and clearly it isn't today.
Its bad enough to have to put up with lying politicians like Trump and congress. But Fauci was supposed to be a part of the government healthcare apparatus that the citizens should have faith in. And by Fauci lying and single handily destroying that faith, practically no one will believe a real pandemic threat in the future.
It was just an example given that indeed corporations can and do produce things of value to the public. Another example would be the automobiles that corporations have produced so that we no longer have to walk to go places. Corporations can actually be very beneficial.
