Merged Fauci Should Be In Prison - Senator Rand Paul

To denote when two or more threads have been merged
So if a beach is closed because of Covid, and someone goes to the beach, and they were arrested, it wasn't because of Covid?
Correct.

They were arrested because they entered a closed area and it was against the law.

It doesn’t matter if the beach is closed due to an outbreak of disease, or because an archaeological treasure was found there and the Smithsonian is trying to preserve it, or if it’s the nesting place of an endangered species, or because surf conditions are so bad it’s better to keep everyone back, or because Donald Trump is hosting a clambake. Whether you are there to swim or steal treasure or capture a rare bird or get your picture taken at Trump’s party, you could be arrested for going into an area closed to the public and Fauci would not be to blame for you getting your dumb ass hauled before a judge.

Of course it matters. The idiocy of arresting a lone paddle boarder will haunt the tyrant Newsom for good. The idiocy went far with him. For example, when the beach restrictions were somewhat lifted, every second parking spot was blocked off, you could walk on the sand but you couldn’t lay down.

“Just following the science”

Fuck off, there was no science for this nonsense.

If you repeat "it doesn't matter why the beaches were closed" and "the restrictions were only mild inconveniences" often enough, it doesn't make it any more true.
That is a consequence of absolute truth.
His repetitions don't create truth, that is an absolute truth, we agree.

”Covid fascism” - that’d be hilarious if it wasn’t so pathetic.
So you agree that resisting the Covid restrictions doesn't make one a general vaccine denier.

We've agreed twice in one day, there is hope for you.
Resisting Covid restrictions just meant someone was stupid, selfish and kind of an asshole. And helped spread a disease that was deadly for many—still is.

If the law doesn’t apply to everyone, it applies to no one.

Funnily enough, being a libertarian means much the same thing.

There's a fair bit of overlap between the two groups, and of course, both groups genuinely believe that their stupid, selfish, and assholish behaviours and beliefs are somehow the pinnacle of noble and honourable living.

Statements don’t create truth, they describe it. Covid restrictions did not cause the arrest, the actions of the lawbreakers and the police caused the arrest.

Denying the agency of people is an odd position for a libertarian but not for MAGAs.

To the functionally literate, I made no comment about vaccine deniers, so your conclusions are false.

How many more Americans would you be willing to see die from a deadly virus for your stupid Libertarian politics?
How deadly was this particular plague?

So you agree that resisting the Covid restrictions doesn't make one a general vaccine denier.

Or, mabye, they refused to make a virtue of cowardice.

Yes, any disease can be deadly under the right circumstances. But we're talking about Covid and the general population.

Covid restrictions did not cause the arrest, the actions of the lawbreakers and the police caused the arrest.
I should have known you appearing to make sense was too good to make true. You don't know what causality is or what a chain of events is.

If you thought I was wrong about that part, you would have said so. You didn't say so. QED. You can't allow anyone to see you agreeing with me, so you remain silent in the few cases where you do.

Hey, laughing dog, did you know that the sky is blue?

How deadly was this particular plague?
Your country was using refrigeration trucks as impromptu morgues at the time. Kind of a giveaway. So is the fact your hospitals (Florida being the big example) implementing triage protocols because they were that overwhelmed.
Umm, no. They were preparing to use them in case it was bad. There were all sorts of "just in case" measures put into place. If we go by the "just in case" measures it was deadlier than the Black Plague which killed 1/3 of Europe. But there are also actual measured percentages listed in the medical literature that say what are the odds of one surviving this particular ailment.

Fascinating, a self- proclaimed libertarian denying the role of agency in human events.

I realize it is hard to believe , but I don’t read or care about everything you post. I generally avoid stepping in your alternative universe. And when I let optimism triumph over experience and step into it, I have to clean my metaphorical shoe.
