2026 Mid-Term Elections

I think it's probably too early to tell who will win a Democratic primary election in Texas. If Crockett still has the best chances of defeating a Republican in the Senate when the primaries are held, hopefully, she will be the nominee. I always vote in the primaries for the person who has the best chances of winning in the general election, regardless if they are my first choice or not.

A lot more people are saying Trump should not be in the Presidency.
They don't need him anymore, most likely.

Now, all the uncompromised billionaires can just let all their patsies burn, because their agenda is already passed.

They can pass the torch to Vance, who will cravenly rubber-stamp every last piece of their agenda, as elections and all consequences are disrupted indefinitely into the foreseeable future.

If the GOP is abandoning him now, the fix is already in.

Momdani says if Israel's PM comes to NYC while he is Mayor, he will arrest him in accordance with the ICC warrant.
First of all, it's "Mamdani". Second, what authority does NYC mayor have to arrest a foreign statesman based on a warrant from a court that the US does not even recognize?
Note that Mamdani is also saying that he will help illegals evade federal immigration authorities. Unlike the ICC, NYC is part of the US and subject to US federal laws.

Also, I move that the Mamdani posts be moved to the "NYC mayoral election" thread. That election is not part of the 2026 Midterms anyway. More like 2025 Quarterterms.
"Danger is my middle name. My first name is Pookie."
I thought it was Carlos.

Seriously? It's more than fifteen months to election day.

Come back in fourteen and a half months.
It's hard to say who's going to win a race when we don't know who the contestants are going to be.

For whatever it's worth, since this came up, my prediction is that the '26 elections will be the day American democracy is officially declared dead. It's on life support now, but the plug is getting pulled in November of 2026.

The next federal elections are still some 15 months off, but political shifts in recent days across four key battleground states are the clearest sign yet that the race to carve out lanes ahead of the 2026 midterms is already underway.

Below we break down pivotal announcements from Wisconsin, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina — all swing states Trump won last year by less than 384,000 votes combined. Some of the newly declared candidates are looking to clear the field, while others are hoping to define their nascent primary contests on their own terms in hopes of forcing possible challengers to react to their opening salvos. At least one candidate on this list appears to be angling for the only endorsement that matters on the GOP side: Donald Trump.

Ok, I am sure you know campaigning never ends in the good ol' USofA.
Ever consider that maybe that constant campaigning is part of the problem? I am sure part of the huge number of lazy, ignorant no-shows you have at elections are due to fatigue at the constant campaigning.

Buttigieg has been all up in my shit for months now. Not running for anything. Just tossing the Act Blue links at me with a few paragraphs of nice polite liberal-speak. Saying nothing, as usual. Dude needs to grow a pair.
