In the form of arrogant ruling elites, yes. But ruling elites don't fall easily, and their fall is usually accompanied by a lot of death and destruction. Furthermore, recovery after such collapse always seems to result in emergence of new ruling elites.

So how can can one tame a ruling elite? Depose a ruling elite without causing a big mess? Keep a ruling elite from emerging?

What are the "elite" doing that makes you want to tame them?

Since this is an era when many people are concerned about fairness and social justice! What is your share of what someone else [an elite?] has worked for?

Greed is good Michael Douglas's character in Wall Street

The actual quote is "greed, for lack of a better word, is good." And Gordon Gekko was the unscrupulous villain.

“Thus did a handful of rapacious citizens come to control all that was worth controlling in America. Thus was the savage and stupid and entirely inappropriate and unnecessary and humorless American class system created. Honest, industrious, peaceful citizens were classed as bloodsuckers, if they asked to be paid a living wage. And they saw that praise was reserved henceforth for those who devised means of getting paid enormously for committing crimes against which no laws had been passed. Thus the American dream turned belly up, turned green, bobbed to the scummy surface of cupidity unlimited, filled with gas, went bang in the noonday sun.”

What are the "elite" doing that makes you want to tame them?
1. Hoarding an inordinate amount of resources.
2. Preventing those with less from accessing even the basic necessities needed to live a decent life.
3. Exploiting those with less to continue to hoard even more than they could spend in several lifetimes.
4. Buying the political system to back their greed for no other reason than to accumulate more.
5. Abusing the justice system to get away with crimes that those without their resources do serious jail time for.
6. Blame all of the world's problems on those they are exploiting.

Those are just simple, off the top of my head examples. Shall I continue? One can easily scan the headlines for the last several decades to find thousands of reasons why they need to be curbed (or guillotined).

Not paying people shit, which leads to people having to accept terribly low wages because they are desperate. For convincing people that saving a buck is worth the people serving you's sacrifice to fail living paycheck to paycheck. Not getting on the UHC bus.

I’ve read a fair share of economists who agree that a major problem is there are trillions of dollars sitting in offshore bank accounts untaxed. It is also true that when you have such resources, it is exponentially easier to maintain and build on that wealth.

Realize that when you complain about high taxes, its not because “lefties want free stuff” - its bc the middle class needs to make up for those losses in tax revenue.

Billionaires do not make money in a vacuum. They rely on roads, police, hospitals, schools etc as well to run their industries and workforce.

Billionaires can back campaigns, think tanks, PACs, lobby groups, etc to maintain a system that favors loopholes etc.

They can also fund media - their media is easy to spot, they shift blame/economic woes on subgroups...immigrants, single moms, sick people, jews, blacks. Tucker Carlson is a good example of this.

Also - know that when you attack "lefties" you are attacking the hard working people who pay their share of taxes and the wealthy's share as well. It's not wrong for the average worker to expect some value from their tax dollars. When people suggest some tax be spent on ie: health care as opposed to more tax cuts for the top tier, they are not asking for free stuff, they are asking for something in return for their investment. They paid for it.

By and large just not giving enough of a damn about those with less.

The ruling elite can be tamed through taxation. If they want to live, work, and play in the USA, there should be a price to pay. Our elected officials should be using this desirability factor to the betterment of all it's citizens.

There is only so much milk in a cow. If it's over milked, there won't be any milk left that may be needed for other purposes.

Other purposes as determined by the cow for the benefit of the cow, and only the cow.

The cow has 5 silos full of stored milk...going sour.....and the farmer, who feeds the cow, is starving and the cow wont offer the farmer a bucket.

Ha, but this is too easy, she probably should go easy on the cognitively challenged.

And unlike cheaty cheaterson, I bet she took her own tests.
