The left's going after Trump from day one reminds me of Wiley E Coyote chasing the Road Runner. The Acme Company [radical Left Dems] are the tools used but fail to catch him.

Your tribalism is glaringly obvious. You worship your group label, and so you forget that if he were a Dem, he would not be enacting and supporting the inhumane right wing policies that he does. He'd be supporting expansion of Medicare if not universal healthcare, and he'd be fighting for worker rights, not billionaire and corporate welfare.
"Democrat" doesn't mean a color of a hat. People that lean liberal in their thinking tend to look for candidates that represent the principles and issues they already believe in and that reflect their own conscience, not the other way around with people like you allowing the bully to tell you what your views are. On the right, at least at the current time when "conservatism" is some quaint idea from the past, the mentality is tribalism first, worship the guy who is in charge no matter what he does. Everything else becomes lip service when the pressure's on and aggression and violence is all they know. It's a difference in perception, thinking, reasoning, cognitive traits. The traits of frightened bigots pool to the right for a reason. But curiosity is not one of those traits, so you'll probably never get it.
You see, there are principles underlying progressive stances and policies, and those principles are NOT held by right wingers. But then again, the right wing in the US (and clearly in Oz as well) does not operate under any principle except Us vs. Them. Everything else is lip service. But me and most of my fellow liberals damn well mean it when we talk about equality and workers' rights and social programs and ending corporate welfare and political power.
If Trump ran on a Dem ticket while promising a wall and threatening journalists and blasting his bigotry like an air horn, the Dem primaries would have obliterated him. Our animal brains are not programmed to follow bullies.
NO ONE is more obsessed with AOC than right wing zealots. No one. We like her; you guys plaster your walls with her. It's ridiculous. Seriously, y'all need to calm down about AOC.
I think the media is more obesessed than either party of this person. They can put her name on anything and get revenue streams from either side. I don't know this woman, but I bet if anyone would set down with her you would walk away with a different veiw than you would from reading the news print about her.

If he were a Dem and enacted all of those socialist ideals, pray tell, who the fuck would pay for it all? It seems to that to many economists the so called tax cuts to corporations etc are working as the American economy is in it's strongest position in 20 years. Even Fiat/Chrysler in the last week or so has announced it's building a new auto plant in Detroit employing thousands of people because of the new corporate tax regime of 15-18%.
If for any other reason, providing there's not another world wide financial crash, it's enough to assure you sworn enemy will be returned to office come next Presidential election.

I hardly think any news agencies swoon over anyone, these days. They may not be as hard as one or the other individual would be, but their job is to make the news, not report it. Reporting is boring and making the news creates enough interest that people keep coming back. Ratings are their bread and butter and if they can get them from pissing you off, then they will do so.
Rational people these days are as numerous as common sense was yesterday. It all depends on the objectivity of the person doing the searching and his/hers ability to step beyond their own prejudices. Independent critical thinking isn't something easily came across, since sometimes it means braving rejection from those around you. Many have been alone, but few know the cruelty of total isolation. Unless you willing to endure that you needn't even start down that road in today's society.

He is wrong, of course. A "rational person" might disagree on a few specifics, but they would not conclude that she is "an idiot and false person".
She majored in international relations and economics, and was an educational director for the 2017 Northeast Collegiate World Series for the National Hispanic Institute. In high school, she placed second in the Microbiology category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. She isn't, by any stretch of the imagination, a stupid woman.
She is, in fact, an attractive, young, plain-spoken, intelligent woman... which is what scares the piss out of the irrational conservative right-wingers.

Oops, that was Jahana Hayes, not Ayanna Pressiey. I didn't read AOC's tweet closely enough. She is also a Representative, and from Connecticut, while AP is from Massachusetts. JH and AP are the first black women to represent those states in Congress.
