Anti-semitic activity in the US on the rise

Anyone here know French?

What is all this about? Apparently all 3 of these guys are fairly right wing...

https://www.spi0n.com/soral-agresse-conversano/

I've got a good brain but I don't have the best French words. The hairy guy who got beat up says Arabs aren't really French, bald guy says some are third generation so how can they not be French, hairy guy says that's not the sentiment that got National Front 30% of the vote and that France has Arabs out the ass. I'm sure someone else can do more justice to that.

Firstly, anti-semitism is not acceptable and I never said it was.

Secondly, you're skipping a step. Its the response to opposition of these policies that help stoke the fire. Maybe its not solely responsible for the rise of anti-semitism, but surely helped it grow.

No, anti semitism is not a result of any US foreign policy. Anti semitism predates WW II, and the state of Israel. It's seeing a resurgence and more openly displayed because (some) brands of 'Christians' /(some) whites feel under attack as white Anglo Saxon Protestants are no longer in complete control. That makes a lotta tiny white balls shrink and recede and quiver in terror. And before I hear that Jews are white: not to Nazis, they aren't.

The Jews have been scapegoats for 2,000 years and maybe before and blamed for whatever seems to go wrong. However the backlash against US foreign policy in the Middle East dictates that anyone in US government who is Jewish (even if a filing clerk) will somehow prove a mass Jewish conspiracy.

Asd you know, every kind of racism is, in every country, an exclusively right-wing phenomenon, because it divides people and encourages hate.

Utter nonsense. Unless you tautologically define racism a priori as inherently right-wing, which then leads to silly deduction that most of the modern left is strongly right-wing.

True liberalism isn't racist, but most modern leftism is not actually liberalism and has no regard for the value, liberty, and treatment of individuals, only of groups and group-level equality. Leftist policies and rhetoric typically seek to rectify group-level "average" inequalities by presuming all racial group members are prototypical of their racial group averages (as most leftist ideology and policy does), which is inherently racist, reinforces racial identity and thus racism of all forms, and morally validates bigotries in general.

As you know, the purpose of the Right, everywhere and always, is to get people to hate one another, so that their masters can steal their everything as they fight. 'Racist' as used in America is just blather, since racism is any action based on the nonsensical concept 'race'. I don't know much about liberalism, since I never knew my great-grandfather who was the last that way given in our family, but anyone who wants a better society knows he has to help people to unite.

So, this odd video have gotten a lot of mileage from people who are saying that immigration into Europe is as planned by Jews as say the Chinese Han moving into Tibet.

I still don't understand what it is about the current social and political climate that is emboldening these alt-right assholes and their dupes into coming out from underneath their rocks.

Bigotry fuels bigotry, and all racial identity politics is racism that fuels all forms of bigotry.
Ah, "identity politics", the latest in a string of right-wing strawman claims over the past few decades.

The racism and bigotry of the regressive left, such as the inherently racist presumptions underlying "white privilege" arguments, not only emboldens white-supremacists to be more open and vocal, but creates additional white supremacists out of whites who have been shit on by the same system that disproportionately shits on minorities but then are told by better-off minorities and other whites that they have no right to complain about unfairness against them as people and individuals because of the color of their skin.
Baby, why do you make me hit you?

This is a fascinating discussion. In my opinion, it is clear if your are anti-Zionist, you are antisemitic. If you are opposed to actions and policies of the present Israeli government you are not automatically antisemitic. After the inquisition, the Khmelnytsky Pogroms, the Pogroms in Russia and Poland in the late 19th and early 20th Century, the Zionist movement began looking for a homeland for Jews. This was crystallized further after almost 70% of European Jews were murdered under the most inhumane circumstances in history during the Holocaust. There is nothing evil or nefarious in the desire of a group of people who have systematically persecuted for 100's of years to want to have their own place to live.

As for antisemitism in the United States, it has always been here. As Jews have assimilated this has receded into the darkness. But it never vanished. I experienced this most of my life. I was beaten repeatedly as a child for being Jewish. My kids on the other hand have not experienced this at all. It didn't go away, it just went underground. The failure to speak out forcefully against this kind of behavior when it arises is a danger to our society. The idea that the people who serenaded the press with chants of JEW-S-A at the trump rallies did this because the US government supports Israel is so ridiculous as to defy common sense. Antisemitism existed before Zionism and it will continue to exist as long as we tolerate it. The idea that Jews control the media or the levers of power in the government and act in coordinated manner to benefit Jews and Israel is just plain nuts and to hold these views not only do you have to a highly distorted view of reality you have to by definition be antisemitic.

That doesn't make all Jews good nor does it mean the Israeli government is a paragon of virtue. I prefer the words of Victor Frankl in his book Man's Search for Meaning:

From all this we may learn that there are two races of men in this world, but only these two — the “race” of the decent man and the “race” of the indecent man. Both are found everywhere; they penetrate into all groups of society. No group consists entirely of decent or indecent people.

I believe one can be anti-Zionist without being antisemitic. Whether any such people actually exist is questionable, though.

They do. And some of them are devout Jews:

Crap. What gives the descendants of Khazars the right to displace those Semites whose ancestors were the first settlers in the country in very early times and the Old Testament Jews? Zionists are racist nutcases, and their racism doesn't even make sense.

Most of what you say is correct. The Jewish people are always being scape goated by certain elements of society. However there is a difference between a Jewish person and a Jewish (or other) who is a Zionist. There is a whole difference. Zionism when applied is the flip side of National Socialism but the only surprise is this came into existence a thousand or so years later than one would normally expect.

Throughout history the Jews were persecuted and killed yet they still continued to survive and succeed. They are still discriminated against if not for just being Jews but blamed for just about anything that is wrong in the world. Anyway it was the Italians who crucified Christ not the Jews (if such a person actually existed).

Israel at peace with the Middle Eastern neighbours would be beneficial to the region due to its high technology, and other skills. Many Palestinians are descended from forcibly converted Jews so there is a generic link :)

People who believe the Khazar hypothesis are highly likely to be racist nutcases. Or at least that's my experience.

Child, my father was apparently on a Hitler death-list for, amongst other things, defending the Jews, and unlike you I have actually fought fascists, and have a broken nose to prove it. Zionists are the main racists nowadays, as you know.

I don't know the exact rules of your "The Nazis were mean to my ancestors" game, but I suspect I might beat you at it. Although I'll concede defeat in the "I got punched in the face" game, so we can call this a draw.

That being said, while I understand that the older generation can have some difficulties navigating the internet, a few minutes of searching will show
a. How prevalent belief in the Khazar hypothesis is among anti-semites
b. How sceptical almost all mainstream historians are about it

So if you don't wish to get accidentally mislabelled, I'd advise against treating it as factual.

Ahh, so that's what causes anti-semitism. If nobody called anybody anti-semitic, then people would stop spray painting swastikas on buildings. I get it now. If Jews would shut the fuck up, there would be no problem.

I'll be honest Blastula, I'm starting to get sick of seeing your overly-reductionist responses to other people's nuanced opinions on things to the point of falsity. That is not what I wrote. Try rereading.

Good luck with that.

Does American foreign policy make you want to tell a random Jewish person that his kids should die in an oven?
It does me. I don't like American foreign policy Blastula. So whenever I see Jewish people I tell them their kids should die in an oven.

Are you happy now Blastula?

These guys are using Malcom X's crap stats and calling this young jewish guy a Khazar:

I don't understand why it matters if a lot of modern jews are not from the middle east. Does it matter?

Maybe Eran Elhaik is not a real jew as his father was from Italy and his mother from Iran?

That is not surprising coming from an fanboy of Putin.

You know, when I travel in America I meet intelligent open minded people who are comfortable seeing the positives and negatives in their leaders and other leaders. They don't resort to infantile "namecalling" if they disagree with you.

I think you are spending too much time on the internet. Get out, do things, meet people. Get a life.
