Are people already regretting their choice?

Your recent posts simply aren't making a lot of sense. The Democrats aren't the problem just because you don't feel they are as liberal/progressive as you would like. Without the Democrats, there would never have been programs to help the poor, no civil rights for minorities and women and gay folks etc, no programs to help older adults survive, no gay marriage, no legal abortion etc. Sure, they've made plenty of mistakes, but guess what? Humans are a very nasty species. Sometimes even the best of us fuck up. Now, all of the progress we have made is under attack.
Stay on topic. I'm criticizing the folks here for scapegoating and attacking minorities. Not for helping the poor, expanding civil rights, helping older adults, or... well, the Democrats didn't actually do either of those last two things, but I would support those as well, if they had. Yes, even the best of us fuck up. Which is why it is important to be able to criticize powerful institutions, when they fail.

No you are just lashing out at people. Like lashing out at me for no good reason.

I don’t know if Poli voted
Of course I voted. I've never missed an election and I wasn't about to miss what might be the last one. Not being willing to shit on Palestinians has nothing to do with whether or not I voted.
Nobody is shitting on Palestinians, except Trump. The fact is that some of his supporters were pro-Palestinian Arabs who didn't seem to grasp that Trump has long supported Likud and Bibi, and are now outraged to hear him continue his long held vision.

Enjoying the schadenfreude of that situation is a very reasonable response IMNSHO.

If the nested quote facility isn't used more intelligently, I ask Staff to disable it. A typical quote pyramid looks like:

Why do you accuse me of misconstruing you?
Because that's what you do.
Give me an example.
Why should I?
So I'll know what you're talking about.
Why should I care what you know?
This is going nowhere.

I can see this is going nowhere.

That makes it just like many of the discussions here.
We really are fucked, aren't we? Y'all are definitely more in tune with the mood of most of the Party leadership right now, D and R. But why you can't see that it isn't working baffles me.

I assume you've decided that I'm one of the culprits. Shall we start a new quote pyramid?

Why do you accuse me of misconstruing you?

Why do you accuse me of misconstruing you?
Stop misconstruing me. And don't misconstrue my accusations of misconstruing me, either.

(Am I doing it right, or was I supposed to have dug further back to provide context?)

I didn't accuse you of anything, dude, but feel free to hunt around in the quote pyramid for ancient Egyptian gold or whatever. I have criticized an action - blaming Palestinian/Lebanese Arabs as a whole - or "Dearborn", which by the way is home to a lot of people and cultures - for the rise of Trump, using this as a post facto excuse for ignoring or celebrating as schadenfreude both their persecution at home, and turning a blind eye to the targeted religious ethnocide of their people abroad. If that describes your position, then yes, I'm criticizing you. I'm criticizing the hell out of you, if that's what you believe and that's what you're doing. If it doesn't, and you aren't, then I'm not. I'm not a mind reader, so you're just going to have figure that one out on your own. You don't need someone else, least of all the forum's favorite Left-flavored punching bag, to tell you what you believe or whether you're a good person or not. Take some personal responsibility for Shor's sake, I'm not responsible for what's in your head, nor do I care. Actions matter. Words matter. Thoughts and feelings are meaningless until they become one or the other.

No one owes you a vote, nor should it be the price for the basic rights of a citizen. If that is how the Democrats feel, no wonder no one wants to fucking vote for them anymore.
That is how the GOP operates, and lots of people vote for them. Hell, it’s Trump’s MO.
Yeah, a lot of the Democrats seem to agree with you that imitating the Republicans is the only way to succeed in politics. But that begs the question, in that case, why not just vote for the Republicans?
I didn't say that imitating Republicans is the only way to succeed in politics. I was pointing out your objection ignored reality.

But to answer your question, unless Democrats are completely imitating Republicans, then there are still obvious differences which may make voting for Democrats a better option for some voters than voting for Republicans.

That doesn't mean their current strategy for attracting those potential voters is working. Look out the window. It isn't.

Oh, no. Nothing about trying to rebrand themselves as "Republicans Lite" was smart.
Do you have some examples of Dems or Harris running as "Republican Lite?" I'd be interested in seeing it because I'm not familiar with it. I do know both Biden and Harris ran on their economic record, which was excellent BTW.

I know Bill Clinton did it and it worked for him but a good but many of his Republican lite programs sucked for the people. He reduced social programs and deregulated the radio market bringing us the likes of Rush Limbaugh on three stations in the same market and liberal stations being bought out. I'm sure Ford could provide more details about that aspect.

As a matter of fact, I watch a lot of news and i saw very little of Harris being covered. Trump got lots of coverage. Some good, some bad. As they say, any publicity is good publicity. But far more than Harris got.

Bragging about being tough on immigrants, tough on crime, her adamant love of guns and gun rights, an entire multi-billion dollar ad campaign about how it was "okay to vote for Harris" if you're a Republican...

It is very true that Kamala Harris received relatively limited press coverage though, as happened to Biden and Clinton as well.

This is true.

tough on crime,
Also true.

her adamant love of guns and gun rights,
You do know Democrats have guns too, right?

Oh noes!!!!

Could it be what you call the "Republican Lite" programs are popular on both sides?

It is very true that Kamala Harris received relatively limited press coverage though, as happened to Biden and Clinton as well.
This I actually agree with.

What current strategy? There are no elections.

Is there any way to tell the difference between genuine social media videos and ones that are just for show and clicks these days?

I asked because I started looking at instagram a couple of months ago (primarily because my Facebook friends were migrating and Facebook is now a ghost town to me) and for me about 99% of it is just pure garbage and much of that obviously faked/staged videos.

Rather than give the asshole media clicks can we just get some facts? I’m not linking out to utoob or twitter. People need to stop using those and all meta properties.

As you pointed out earlier, Biden deported a lot of people. Do you imagine its possible to find immigrants who entered during Biden's admin and supported his looser border policies, but got deported anyway? So...not sure if these anecdotes really mean a lot.

With regard to the OP question, there is this recent CBS News poll. Its a mixed bag, but you can see for yourself who has regrets about what:

CBS News poll — Trump has positive approval amid "energetic" opening weeks; seen as doing what he promised

With most describing him as "tough," "energetic," "focused" and "effective" — and as doing what he'd promised during his campaign — President Trump has started his term with net positive marks from Americans overall.

Many say he's doing more than they expected — and of those who say this, most like what they see. Very few think he's doing less.

His partisans and his voters, in particular, say he's got the right amount of focus on matters like ending diversity, equity and inclusion programs and deporting those who are in the country illegally.

His deportation policy finds majority approval overall — just as most voters said they wanted during the campaign — and that extends to sending troops to the border, too.

But one key issue looms: Most Americans say the administration isn't focused enough on lowering prices. Inflation was a key reason Mr. Trump won the election.

I continue to be disgusted with how deplorable, stupid or brainwashed so many Americans are.

Some common red flags. Most aren't the death knell on their own, but if a creator indulges in a bunch of them you might have a paid shill or a Russian troll farm on your hands:

-Superlatives in the video title.

-"You'll never believe what happens next."

- A company brand name is visible on still image. Unless it's a review of the product itself.

- Racy and/or heavily photoshopped still image.

- Posting history is a mix of personal/self-help/fashion advice half the time and politics the other half.

- Anything with "slime" in the title.

- "I don't usually post about this, but..." (especially if obviously untrue!)

- Very frequent "collabs" with other dubious content creators.

- User posts very frequently, or conversely, they only appear to have posted one or two videos under a given name.

- It's about George Soros, AOC, or the Koch Brothers.

- An AI is reading the script.

- It's a slide show with a voice over.

- Comic Sans

- "Why is no one talking about..." (topic of the week that everyone is talking about)

-"What they don't want you to know about..."

-Lots of grievance videos about other creators, platforms, or alleged mistreatment by the "mainstream media".
