Banning russian news sites in the west is a good idea?

Never having heard of Chris Hedges, I looked him up in the Wikipedia. He is an interesting character.
Yes, he seems to stand out as someone that both the left and the right would see as a "useful idiot". That is, he is an anti-atheist leftist intellectual who takes positions that extremists find useful in supporting their causes but whom they otherwise find contemptible. A Presbyterian minister who is a socialist but stood by Vladimir Putin's increasingly right wing fascist dictatorship in its struggle to destroy Ukrainian freedom while simultaneously condemning the invasion and buying into the Russian narrative that it is all NATO's fault. It is no wonder that a propaganda outlet like RT found it useful to employ him. Of course, they don't acknowledge his objections to the invasion. If they did, he wouldn't be such a useful idiot. They were willing to give him a megaphone, so he was happy with it.
