Bidengate Breaks... err... down

If that were the case, you'd have seen more harsh language out of the Democrats in Congress about responsibility, not making a case against Biden, but definitely not in his favor either. We didn't see this happen.
No need for that. They just want old idiot (or rather his handlers) to go away.
Yes, a need for that. Because why plant a seed if you aren't going to water it?

This thread is about the laptop of his son that has emails on it that The Daily Mail continues to slow roll release on... for a period of years.

I think it is worth pointing out that what was once an investigation into a shady real estate deal morphed over the years into a wide-ranging inquiry which led to a President being impeached for lying about a blow job. Our friends over at the Daily Mail know full well that "Hunter Biden's Laptop" is a dead end, but it keeps the machine going until something else comes up.

Lets wait a little more.

This is the United States and running for President takes about two years of whoring, where the early part is whoring for the financial backing of enough important people to afford to run.

And if one was to run against an incumbent President of the same party, they need to have access to the accounts of a lot of supporters now. The time to push a narrative to replace an incumbent President is now or last month, not 'we'll just sit on it for a while'.

(Bloomberg) -- The US Treasury Department refused Wednesday to provide House Republicans any suspicious activity reports it may have on foreign banking and other business transactions by Hunter Biden and other members of President Joe Biden’s family.

Jonathan Davidson, Treasury’s legislative affairs chief, told House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer in a letter that he needs more details about why the panel is seeking such “highly sensitive” information.
Comer wrote on Jan. 11 to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen for any so-called suspicious activity reports — used by banks to flag what they deem dubiously large transactions — as part of his panel’s probes into overseas business and other dealings by the president’s son.
Without acknowledging whether such reports on the Bidens exist, Davidson on Wednesday instructed Comer that “improper disclosure” of such information can undermine the executive branch’s “conduct of law enforcement, intelligence, and national security activities.”
Comer responded that “this coordinated effort by the Biden Administration to hide information about President Biden and his family’s shady business schemes is alarming and raises many questions.”

Attorneys for Hunter Biden on Wednesday asked state and federal agencies to investigate a computer repair shop owner, Rudy Giuliani and number of right-wing political figures involved in disseminating contents of his laptop, alleging that they committed computer and other criminal violations in their effort to “weaponize” the laptop contents against his father.

The allegations – made in letters to the Delaware attorney general, the Justice Department’s National Security Division and the IRS – mark the first time President Joe Biden’s son and his legal team have publicly acknowledged that it was his personal data purported to be found on a laptop left at the Delaware repair shop.

The letters signal a distinct change in strategy by Hunter Biden after bringing on new lawyers to help defend him against an onslaught of attacks from Republicans, who have sought to use his personal struggles with drugs and congressional probes of his business dealings to attack the president. Hunter Biden also faces an ongoing federal criminal investigation that is focused on tax and other issues.

In the letter to Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, Hunter Biden’s attorneys accuse computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac of unauthorized access of the laptop and distributing its contents to the New York Post for a story published in the weeks before the 2020 election. Mac Isaac has said in a memoir and media interviews that he received the laptop at his store from Hunter Biden in 2019.

“This failed dirty political trick directly resulted in the exposure, exploitation, and manipulation of Mr. Biden’s private and personal information. Mr. Mac Isaac’s intentional, reckless, and unlawful conduct allowed for hundreds of gigabytes of Mr. Biden’s personal data, without any discretion, to be circulated around the Internet,” Hunter Biden’s attorney Abbe Lowell wrote in the letter.
Biden signed a contract with Mac Isaac, which included a policy stating that if the laptop was not picked up within 90 days, it would become Mac Isaac’s property, according to the repair shop owner’s book. Mac Isaac writes that Biden never came back for the laptop.

But by his own account, Mac Isaac said he went through files on Hunter Biden’s laptop the day after it was dropped off. In his book, Mac Isaac said the day after Hunter Biden dropped off the laptop, he noticed a file titled “income.pdf” in the hard drive, which apparently tracked Biden’s finances.

I really hate sloppy reporting like that. There appears to be no first time "admission" at all that. Hunter Biden appears not to have deviated one iota from the position that he has always taken--that the data found on the laptop's hard drive is purported to be from a laptop that he may or may not once have owned. He has not admitted that it was his data or that the data was accurate, but the report makes it look like he is admitting that the laptop and data was his. It is only alleged to be his, and that has not been verified or admitted by anyone. The reason is that the provenance and chain of custody of that laptop before Mac Isaac revealed it is still, and always has been, unknown. Who dropped it off? Biden is saying he doesn't remember delivering to Mac Isaac's shop. Mac Isaac himself is clearly a Republican partisan who helps Republican political campaigns. He has made copies of the alleged hard drive to send to Joe Biden's political enemies.

The fundamental issue here is that while it seems to have originated from a machine of his we know it has been tampered with (there are multiple versions out there) since and thus have no way of knowing what data on it is actually his other than stuff that can be confirmed by other sources. Whether it is his or not is not a binary, why do you want him to assert a binary answer?

I don't want Hunter Biden to assert anything but the truth as he knows it. I don't care whether that which he asserts is what you call a "binary answer". If he doesn't know something, then he should admit to not knowing it. That seems to be just what he has done consistently from the beginning and what he continues to do. I have no reason to believe that he has been disingenuous, nor do is political opponents. The CNN piece makes it look like his position has changed. It has not.

Looks like meth fiend Hunter Biden is admitting the laptop from hell is his;

The first son's lawyer Abbe Lowell asked the DOJ to probe former Trump strategist Steve Bannon, campaign lawyer and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Hunter Biden never consented to having his personal information shared, Lowell argued. 'This failed dirty political trick directly resulted in the exposure, exploitation and manipulation of Mr. Biden's private and personal information,' the letter said. 'Politicians and the news media have used this unlawfully accessed, copied, distributed, and manipulated data to distort the truth and cause harm to Mr. Biden.' The letter is the first time Hunter Biden has acknowledged it was his data that was found and distributed to members of the news media.

Daily Mail

So this wasn't a Russia disinformation operation as the FBI said?

"Hunter is the smartest guy I know" LOL.

False on all counts. If someone puts your personal, private information on a laptop, claims it was your laptop, and makes the content of the laptop public, that would be a violation of your personal and private information. Biden has never claimed the laptop wasn't his, only that he doesn't know if it was one of his laptops. If the Russians stole one of them and modified the contents on the hard drive, that would still be an illegal disclosure of his personal information. This is, in no way, an admission or denial that the laptop was his, only that some of the information on the hard drive is alleged to be his private and personal information.

Is there any evidence of this, that someone put Hunter Biden's information on a laptop?

Again with this obsession with Russians. At the very least it has been established the information on "a" laptop is his and this is not a Russian disinformation operation.

I believe there may be as much evidence of this as there is that the laptop actually belonged to Hunter Biden or that the hard drive was not tampered with by a third party. No known chain of custody. Remember?

YOU brought up the Russia connection when YOU wrote: "So this wasn't a Russia disinformation operation as the FBI said?" That's not my obsession. It is just speculation in the press about who could have brought the laptop to a repair shop, which you brought up in your post and which I reacted to. And, as I said before, the information is only alleged to be his. The question is how much of it was his. Hunter Biden's lawyers want Trump supporters John Paul Mac Isaac and Giuliani investigated for making public any of Biden's personal and private information that might have been on the hard drive, because he never gave any permission for it to be released, if it was his. After all Isaac and Giuliani thought it was Biden's personal and private information, didn't they? That's how they presented it to the public. That's how smear campaigns and innuendo work.

Yeah, the allegations of illegal kiddie pics was completely above the board and wasn't disinformation. Much like how this "laptop" has much in the way of an incriminating information on it to begin with (as has been alleged). Who knows, the FBI might be on a treasure trove of illegal activity noted on the laptop, but the Daily Mail certainly hasn't released stuff to indicate all too much of a scandal... other than Hunter Biden has issues with drugs.

That's right and you went straight to "If the Russians stole one of them" etc. Forget the Russians dude, let it go.

So after failing to get people to buy into the Russian misinformation operation, the Biden's are falling back on the "it's private" and come out swinging.

Fair enough. But I don't see why the FBI was strong arming big tech to keep the story on the down low and all the others rallying around the Russian misinformation bullshit. Jeezus, it's not like it was a revelation that Hunter was a meth fiend with a penchant for hookers. Maybe it was more to do with the possible kickbacks to "the Big Guy" from Hunter's dodgy dealings that was causing concern.

Or you believe whatever scenario you care to make up that would indicate that the laptop is not Hunter Biden's laptop. That he had a drug problem is a red herring, but you keep calling him a "meth fiend" because it fits with your overall goal of demonizing him and his father.

He didn't fail to get anyone to buy into that speculation. He made plain in his statement that it was merely a possibility. Why are you obsessing over it so much? Has anyone claimed that there is concrete evidence to prove it? It's only a reasonable possibility, given the proven connections between Russia and Trump's presidency. The privacy issue is irrelevant to such speculation, but your CNN report brought it up, and so did you in discussing that report.

You can repeat the unfounded lies with all the smears and innuendo that you want, but it doesn't bring anything new to this old story. The only new thing here is a legal ploy by Hunter Biden's attorneys.

Or you believe whatever scenario you care to make up that would indicate that the laptop is not Hunter Biden's laptop. That he had a drug problem is a red herring, but you keep calling him a "meth fiend" because it fits with your overall goal of demonizing him and his father.

Coke head, meth fiend, whatever, Hunter Biden is an awful human being in my opinion. If you're a Hunter bro, that's cool.

I went straight there, because you brought Russia up, dude. If the Russia connection bothers you so much, stop bringing it up.

The "Russian connection" doesn't bother me because there never was a "Russian connection", that's the point I was making. Then off you go inventing Russian scenarios. Dude, let it go. You are as bad as the MSM, the FBI, Shifty Adam Schiff and the Russian conspiracy nuts on here.

He didn't fail to get anyone to buy into that speculation. He made plain in his statement that it was merely a possibility.
Sure, anything is possible. Alex Jones will tell you that.

Why are you obsessing over it so much? Has anyone claimed that there is concrete evidence to prove it?
50 former FBI spooks went on record declaring this had all the hallmarks of a "Russian disinformation operation" and the FBI went to big tech to manipulate them into preventing the spread of the story. Kinda suggests evidence is not a requirement for anything.

It's only a reasonable possibility, given the proven connections between Russia and Trump's presidency. The privacy issue is irrelevant to such speculation, but your CNN report brought it up, and so did you in discussing that report.
Are you really going back to the Russia collusion conspiracy?

You can repeat the unfounded lies with all the smears and innuendo that you want, but it doesn't bring anything new to this old story. The only new thing here is a legal ploy by Hunter Biden's attorneys.

Yeah, that is the new part.

@TSwizzle, since your last post was just a repetition of things you had already said in the past, I feel no need in further discussion.
