British By Elections - Tories Lose Big

Yeah and Brexit boded so much goodness.
That is classic whataboutism.
Actually Brexit actually happened, at the behest of the dumbest fuckers in British politics.

It must be very frustrating for you when the plebs don't vote the way you want.
The plebs didn't get what was promised to them by the "burn it down" Boris Johnsons out there, which is probably even more frustrating to them. Might be why the Tories are having troubles right now.
Wait, politicians didn't deliver what they said they would?!! WTF!! That has NEVER EVER happened before!!! This is an outrage!!

But anyway, Brexit was delivered, it DID happen and that's what counts.
And the polling is reflective of that.

Polling doesn't count for shit.

:rolleyesa:

Brexit happened. And it is turning out to be a big bust. The anti-Brexit party is now The Reform Party. Not many people vote for them. And the sad state of post-Brexit Britain gets a big FU from many voters to the miserable Tories. And it doesn't look like the Liberal Democrats don't seem to be taken that seriously by most British. And Margaret Thatcher is still dead.

Remoaners gotta moan.
It's not just them.
I pay little attention to such affairs. It's hard enough to keep up with the nonsense here in my own country.

But there was a poster on another forum who was a huge supporter of brexit. She went from cheering it on, to celebrating it's passage, to griping about how slowly it was being executed, to bitching about how the EU refuses to cooperate, to griping about how it was not supposed to work out this way, to not mentioning it any more. Over the course of a few years.

Yabut, tell me about how its supposed failure has affected Santa Monica.

Look at the bright side. The pro-Brexit contingent will never, ever admit that they were wrong. So they aren't feeling too sad. If anything, the demise of their party's standing is an excuse to indulge in one of Britain's favorite hobbies, feeling vaguely put-upon and gloomy.

It did happen, but to distract from the Green Party Hamas guy (at least they have same colors, makes it easier to merge platforms) with "what about Brexit" is whataboutism.
The fuck are you on? This is a thread about Tories losing in Britain. It's absolutely on topic to make a post about Tories being dumbass motherfuckers who pushed Brexit.

Yabut that requires a little continuity of thought process, something that is sorely lacking in right wing apologetics.

Pretty sure they consider that a feature, not a bug.

And now UK prime minister Rishi Sunak has called for a General Election. This should be interesting.

No, he has called a General Election.

As the PM, he doesn't need to call for a General Election; You "call for" something that other people have the power to do, not for things you can do yourself.

If he had said "Well, I for one think that the Prime Minister should call a General Election, and shall be campaigning strongly to persuade him to do so", that would have been him calling for a General Election (and would have been even more batshit crazy than his usual insanity).

I think @bilby should end his post here, and shall be campaigning strongly to persuade him to do so.

I applaud your attempts to call out into the void hoping for an intelligible response.

You misspelled "blood bath". It won't PM Mulroney (Canadian Conservative Party) bad, but the Tories have fucked up badly and the Labor Party seems to have gotten its shit back together. I do applaud Sunak, however, for outlasting the head of lettuce.

A "blood bath"? Interesting choice of words.

Anyway, as far as Labout getting its shit back together, the Labour leader can't even define what a woman is. But I think regional politics will play a huge part in this election, particularly when it comes down to how the folks in the North, Scotland vote. If the Scots turn from SNP to Labour, which is a strong possibility, that could be enough to put Labour in power. Reform UK are in the mix and Gorgeous George Galloway intend on putting up plenty candidates in muslim strongholds which could also play a part. Possible hung parliament.

Wow, you can't make it very long without bringing up your ill-informed failure of cladistics, can you?

"Woman" is a social construct, not a biological or physical one. It always has been and always will be.
