California Doing California Things

Well, at least its not as bad as the recall election of 2003 when Arnold won. Gary Coleman and a porn star were among the 135 candidates who ran that time.
Aaaak!
I don’t know how you and Swiz can stand it!
Venting on this forum helps, but you guys always dismiss it, say "Trump is worse, blah, blah, blah" and make fun of us. :angryfist:
That’s what we get for voting for a known felon, rapist insurrectionist.

Los Angeles officials are rolling out a $2.8 million program to give away nearly 300 free street food carts — but a well-known SoCal chef says the effort once again shows how the city makes it nearly impossible for traditional restaurants to do business.

“There’s two different sets of rules,” restaurateur Andrew Gruel told The Post. “If I were, as a brick-and-mortar business, to do anything outside the regulatory framework of the city — zoning, health standards, wage laws — I’m going to get smashed left and right.”[/quite]

California doing California shit again.
I've never seen a food cart not subject to health standards.

You've probably also never seen someone taking a dump in the middle of the day on a sidewalk. You will if you come to to California.

Are these food carts supposed to operate on the sidewalks? Good luck with that.

For the folks that haven’t seen them, the carts being used are basically a modified shopping cart type device with a hot plate and propane tank. I see them outside Crypto Arena selling hotdogs and other food. I’d need to be really desperate to buy food from one of these. But there are more extravagant set ups where two, three eezyups are set up, tables, grills and full on catering for tacos and burritos and all the fixings. They just pitch up in parking lots and sidewalks. People buy the food so they survive.

You people really do take gullible to fascinating, even dizzying new heights.

I've lived in this state for nearly my entire life, and I've never seen someone "taking a dump in the middle of the day on a sidewalk". How do you even run into these things when you're terrified to leave the suburbs or eat any real food?

Of course, I was exagerrating (a little) for effect. Just like you did when you said I'm terrified to leave the suburbs (wrong!) or eat any real food (a total lie). But I have seen (twice) someone taking a squat while driving down El Camino Real in the South Bay. And my neck of the woods is one of the cleaner areas. And of course, there's the world famous poop map of SF. Did Scotty just beam all those poops there, like he did with the tribbles into the Klingon engine rooms? Hmmmm.... can't imagine how they got there if there's no one around pooping.

I’d need to be really desperate to buy food from one of these.
Also, you let your nameless, unsubstantiated fears of other people divorce you from so many of the good things in life! Back to the Carl's Junior with you, I guess?

I don’t need a hot dog or taco that badly I’m going to buy from a shopping cart rigged up to heat food up. I don’t think I’m missing much. However, you have maybe seen in the news about lettuce that is carrying a bacteria that is causing food poisoning. Taco Bell is one big name outlet that is having a problem with it.
Just so you know, I very rarely eat in fast food places, haven’t been in Carl’s junior for at least 10 years.

But the food isn’t the issue anyway. The issue is the millions of dollars being handed out for food carts. Along with the millions of tax payers dollars that crooked Newsom and his shrill wife are giving away for diapers.

Why are you so quick to defend this shit?

I've BEEN homeless, and in a rural area no less. There are plenty of places to take a shit, for Christ's sake. Park bathrooms, fast food restaurants, gas stations, library, and porta-potties, of which there are several even in the town where I live, population around 60,000.

If someone is taking a shit on a sidewalk in the US, or any developed country, they are either mentally ill or completely fucked up on alcohol or drugs. OR, it is done as a protest, deliberately. Even if you had an emergency and could not make it to a toilet, a person not miserably stupid, sick, fucked up, or angrily, politically motivated, would find some place out of the way to shit, behind a dumpster, in an alley, behind a building, etc. Myself, I'd shit my pants, then clean up after I made it to a restroom somewhere. That has happened.

Most towns would have a similar map, if anyone bothered to map poop in other cities. Dogs do that, poop on sidewalks.

No they wouldn’t.

You seem more put out that there is a map rather than human feces all over the place?

Prove it. What do other cities' poop maps look like?

The famous "San Francisco poop map" wasn't of human feces particularly, just poop calls to 311, a service that many cities don't even have an equivalent to. It included, and is mostly, dog poop calls.

I don't have any problem with the map, I think it actually demonstrates how forward-thinking Californians generally are when solving public issues. Not only did the map quantify and call popular attention to a given issue, it also immediately spurred action, which has in fact been effective.

As opposed to your preferred method of going WAAAAAAAH I'M A WHINY WIDDLE BABY WHO IS HELPLESS TEND ME, and then refusing to suggest any solutions to the problems you are perpetually whining about. Or the Republican party's preferred method of blaming the Democrats for every problem, then sitting on their ass doing jack shit about them, as better people than themselves roll up their sleeves and do something.

Your methods are transparent. Your critique is meaningless. You are useless at solving California's problems. Your Party is useless at solving California's problems. Instead of being miserable here and continuing to update this stupid thread, you should move to rural Mississippi or Alabama and witness the blessed splendor of Republican "solutions" at work in the flesh, and leave us alone.

Behave yourself. Most cities don’t have this problem of “homeless” people shitting in the street.

16 years of democrat rule, who should I be blaming for the mess if not Democrat policies?

My party? I don’t belong to any party.

Nah, I’ll stay just to spite you.

since you brought up transparency it is pretty obvious that you despise normal people trying to live normal lives. You and your ilk like the “homeless” tormenting normal people.

So you're admitting that you can offer no such proof. That is not surprising.

16 years of democrat rule, who should I be blaming for the mess if not Democrat policies?
Yourself, your lazy and dishonest friends, and anyone who acts like you and your lazy and dishonest friends.

Better yet, grow up, and start looking for solutions to problems instead of wasting time coming up with convoluted arguments for how all the problems of life are somehow caused by the California governor.

Nah, I’ll stay just to spite you.
No one can stop you, but it makes it obvious how unserious and hypocritical you are. In daily life, you enjoy everything this state gives you (despite giving nothing back to it), but come on here to pretend it's a unliveable hellhole because your politics are stupid as shit.

since you brought up transparency it is pretty obvious that you despise normal people trying to live normal lives.
No, I despise useless people who complain about everything and contribute nothing.

You and your ilk like the “homeless” tormenting normal people.
There's nothing normal about you, at least not in the context of California. You might be normal somewhere else, perhaps whatever hellhole you crawled out of. But here, it's painfully obvious that you're a social leech, sucking off your betters and then complaining about the quality of the blood. Leave. There are plenty of real Republican swamps in the country to go feed off the bottom of.
