Can Roe v Wade be overturned?

I'm pretty profligate with words like "fuck", "shit" and "cunt", and I have never posted anything as vile and offensive as what you just posted.

EDIT:
Some people get raped and they commit suicide. Some people get raped and they turn into Oprah. That is just the way it is.

Stay classy sunshine.

I was simply stating facts of life. Wouldn't you agree that these things happen in life? Stating facts does not mean I am not empathetic. If I say, "Hitler killed Jews," it doesn't mean I agree with that statement. It is just stating a fact.

And that's just a typical day for a "pro-life" person.

The narrative has become so skewed (deliberately, I might add) that an entire segment of the population has been led to believe that the pro-choice side is gleefully encouraging an outcome where infanticide is a regular occurrence. That every woman who dares walk into Planned Parenthood is just shy of a murderer.

Nuance is lost. Empathy is lost.

Heaven forbid a woman in her third trimester finds out that her baby is pretty much doomed. For the "pro-life" crowd there's only one option. No matter how risky or painful, that fetus has to be carried to term or she's a straight up homicidal maniac.

My best friend and his wife were faced with this choice. They'd chosen a name. Begun to decorate his room. Then found out what was wrong. It was agonizing. Their choice was to go through with it, and I sat with them in the hospital while they waited for the inevitable. Then I went to the funeral. Had they taken a different path, I could not have faulted them. It wasn't my decision to make.

There was no "look how well that turned out" moment.

Plenty of women smile and cheer at pro-choice rallies. They do not solemnly walk with their heads down shuffling their feet. For those women, they do view abortion as a celebration.

As someone who suffered a miscarriage... fuck your 'god' and fuck anyone who offers that sort of fucked-up bullshit as a response to a woman's miscarriage.

I am sorry to hear that. But, good can come out of bad things. Oprah Winfrey was raped as a child, look how she turned out. Jesus was tortured and crucified, look how that turned out.
This is Eternal level bad.

The good that comes out of it is based on the victim's mentality and strength.
Ah. Well, that's more rational than previously, when you attributed it to gods. So it's all on us as individuals, never mind god.
Some people get raped and they commit suicide. Some people get raped and they turn into Oprah. That is just the way it is.
"Just the way it is" is kind of fatalistic, maybe even nihilistic.
But if you believe in an omnipotent skybeast, then it's not 'just that way.' That's the way it is because that's how your all-knowing, all-powerful God must WANT it to be.
Else he could stop the rapes that would lead to suicide. Unless he's somehow using the suicide of the rape victim to pry something 'good' out of someone devastated by that death... Agnes rapes Jim, who suicides with football pump, which spurs Marie to become an anti-football activist, which causes boycotts and more people go to Church on Sundays...

But if you think in THAT manner, if you really do think that God can use bad things for good effect, then you have no fucking reason to object to ANYTHING. Because maybe God's allowing the democrats or muslims or illegal immigrants to do something that'll turn out good in the end. If that's really how you think.
Personally, I think it's a shallow, sociopathic effort to rationalize your belief in a god whose effect on life is equal to that of an imaginary friend, so you're just a hypocrite. But there we are.

Are you fucking serious? Oprah was able to succeed IN SPITE of being raped, not BECAUSE OF IT. MANY DO NOT. Many, including babies and young children are killed after being raped so the rapist can cover their tracks. Or the attack is so brutal it kills them BECAUSE OF IT. There is NO FUCKING 'good' that comes from that. None. Zero.

NOT JUST 'carried to term' but in many states WHISKED AWAY at some BS label of 'trying to save the life" when it's already been determined that's not possible. So FUCK the grieving mother who cannot hold her WANTED baby as it dies.

I've read a lot of vile shit, even on this board, but yours are right up there with the worst I've seen. And you wonder why people hate Christian NUTJOBS. Does it occur to you that women are celebrating their AUTONOMY? THEIR RIGHTS? THEIR FREEDOMS....you sanctimonious moron.

Still after all these years atheists still don't understand the concept of free will. It's so simple. God is not going to stop everything. If God did everything for us, we would literally have nothing to do. We make choices in life and we are judged on those choices.

They are celebrating their freedom to be able to kill their own baby. To us, it's a sick mentality. As I have pointed out, many women are pro-life and against abortion with all their hearts. I've read people say "My mom's life was at risk with my birth but she took the chance and decided to have me instead of killing me. I am thankful for my mom's courage and strength."

Free will and god being omniscient are logically impossible. Do you think with your free will you could fool god? Either you really do not have free will or god is not really omniscient. Which is it?

And if god really did grant us free will, why are you trying to restrict abortion rights? Do you feel more qualified on how to use free will than god?

Yes, God knows our choices because we made the choices. Him knowing in advance does not cause us to make those choices. An analogy would be if I went into the future to next week and saw exactly what you were going to do on Tuesday. I did not cause you to do any of those things on Tuesday. I merely observed your choices.

You'd fit right in with the Taliban.

I notice you chose to ignore the second paragraph. A trait you seem to practice quite often when things get over your head.

That is downright disgusting.

The 2nd paragraph was so nonsensical it doesn't need a response. But, if you want one, here it is.

This is like asking, "Why do you outlaw murder if you are pro free will?" In fact, this can be used in the abortion argument:

"Women should be able to kill their baby if they want to, others can choose to have the baby. So in regards to murder, if someone wants to murder someone, that's their personal choice. If someone doesn't want to murder, that's their choice as well. But, we shouldn't outlaw murder. Keep it fair as a choice for the person."

Oh I do love bad analogies. Honey, if you let me have vaginal sex, you are a hypocrite for not letting me have anal sex. That logic so unimpeachable.

*door slams*

Hey, can you open the door? I can’t in the bedroom.

Still after all these years atheists still don't understand the concept of free will.
No, pretty sure i understand it. It's a cop-out. A rationalization for a do-nothing God. In just a few posts you have said god will make something good come out of tragedy, which would require violating free will, but he cherishes free will so very much he won't stop the tragedies we see day after day.
And that's just the way it is, unless god wants a different outcome.

So, you just keep stepping on your dick to avoid realizing there is no god, as evidenced by there being no godly interventions....
t's so simple. God is not going to stop everything. If God did everything for us, we would literally have nothing to do. We make choices in life and we are judged on those choices.
But being raped to fucking death (pun not intended) is not a choice anyone makes.
If free will is so damned important, why does god allow the rapist to usurp it?
