Can Roe v Wade be overturned?

Can they? Yes. Should they? In my opinion, No. Will they? Probably if not likely. The Right have been pushing for this since Roe. The only question is whether or not Roberts wants this to happen. I think we already know how the justices will vote, absent surprises.

Elena Kagan: Keep Roe (Obama)
Sonia Sotomayor: Keep Roe (Obama)
Ruth Bader Ginsberg: Keep Roe (Clinton)
Stephen Breyer: Keep Roe (Clinton)
John Roberts: Overturn (Bush II) Possible surprise
Brett Kavanaugh: Overturn (Trump)
Neil Gorsuch: Overturn (Trump)
Sam Alito Jr: Overturn (Bush II)
Clarence Thomas: Overturn (Bush I)

This is why presidential elections matter, and so called "protest" votes by the far left are stupid. Those on the left who want to prevent this, need to bring their ass to the polls every time regardless of how they feel about the Democratic candidate, and vote for them. Kiss abortion rights goodbye, it's another consequence of voting for Nader, Stein, or not showing up.

Now lets see if they go after Griswold (Contraception for married), Baird (Contraception for unmarried), or Lawrence (homosexuality). Don't be surprised if some don't. The "Moar White Babies" crowd and the religious fundies may push this.

4) Yes, you can not make a sandwich. You didn't have a sandwich, though, merely the potential to make one.

Suppose I made the sandwich and then someone grabbed it and rolled it in dirt outside. Now it's OK for you to say they destroyed my sandwich? Despite the fact that all the ingredients were on the counter ready to make it in the first place?
What's the difference? There is none! If I go into a Subway restaurant and throw all the ingredients on the floor, the customers will not be allowed to have any sandwiches. You can bet they would be mad at me.

Wow, abortions and sandwiches. Baby factories.

Amazing how far people want to go to argue against choice.

If he goes into Subway, and half way through making his sub, the server says "I quit!", takes off his apron, and storms out, there is no possible justification for attempting to force the server to finish making the sandwich. That would constitute slavery.

If he is making his own sandwich at home, and decides half way through that he doesn't want a sandwich after all, nobody can force him to finish making the sandwich - it's entirely up to him.

It's not as bad an analogy as he is making it sound - he's just totally failing to draw the appropriate conclusion - making a sandwich is a personal choice, and if you decide not to finish making a sandwich - even if all the ingredients are there - that's up to you, and nobody can tell you that you MUST finish the sandwich.

The analogy gets creepy if we start talking about eating the sandwich.

And if the truck doesn't make the delivery nobody at Subway can have a sandwich, either.

In other words, your argument applies equally to failing to conceive, or at least attempt to conceive.

Should your 13 year old daughter be having sex at the right time every month in an effort to conceive?

(I have no idea if you actually have a daughter.)

Please tell me how many abortions are performed at 23 weeks without a medical reason. Pardon the pun, but no need to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

What do you think of this? According to you guys, this was "just a fetus" and could NEVER survive on its own.

Time to rethink the abortion laws, yet?

If that is a typical representation of this Knowles fellow you keep promoting, I now see why. You seem to be attracted to lies and misrepresentations.

I'm wondering, do you realize how many millions of dollars it cost to achieve that? Do you also realize that you and I are paying for that? What if the baby now needs food stamps? What if the baby needs further extensive medical care (most likely)? Are you willing to pay for that? I ask because, generally, people of your political bent would not want to pay for any of the above.

What lies? The baby was born at 23 weeks, when leftists insist it's "just a fetus."

I am OK with using tax dollars to help babies like this. What's the alternative? Kill the baby for our convenience? Knowles even pointed out this baby would've been killed in multiple states. The laws need to be rethought, period.

Google.

It is an elephant embryo. And that's the whole point. The anti-abortion crowd project what they want to see, and tend to demand that you recognise it as a human being - which unmasks the absurdity of their assessment of humanity based on their ability to envisage the pictured fetus as a human baby - when it is neither human, nor a baby.

Whether you call it a fetus, a baby, or a dirtball, the end result will be a HUMAN baby after 9 months.

Wrong!!! It will be an elephant.

^^^ What Bilby said :D

What about miscarriages? I think it's like 20%.Is that god's will?

No. But, God can make good come out of bad things.

As someone who suffered a miscarriage... fuck your 'god' and fuck anyone who offers that sort of fucked-up bullshit as a response to a woman's miscarriage.

I am sorry to hear that. But, good can come out of bad things. Oprah Winfrey was raped as a child, look how she turned out. Jesus was tortured and crucified, look how that turned out.

I'm sure that a lot of criminals will like that argument. When they are caught, they will then argue that their crimes could well have done a lot of good to their victims.

That is not even remotely the conclusion that can be drawn from what I said. The good that comes out of it is based on the victim's mentality and strength. Some people get raped and they commit suicide. Some people get raped and they turn into Oprah. That is just the way it is.

I'm pretty profligate with words like "fuck", "shit" and "cunt", and I have never posted anything as vile and offensive as what you just posted.

EDIT:

Stay classy sunshine.

And that's just a typical day for a "pro-life" person.

The narrative has become so skewed (deliberately, I might add) that an entire segment of the population has been led to believe that the pro-choice side is gleefully encouraging an outcome where infanticide is a regular occurrence. That every woman who dares walk into Planned Parenthood is just shy of a murderer.

Nuance is lost. Empathy is lost.

Heaven forbid a woman in her third trimester finds out that her baby is pretty much doomed. For the "pro-life" crowd there's only one option. No matter how risky or painful, that fetus has to be carried to term or she's a straight up homicidal maniac.

My best friend and his wife were faced with this choice. They'd chosen a name. Begun to decorate his room. Then found out what was wrong. It was agonizing. Their choice was to go through with it, and I sat with them in the hospital while they waited for the inevitable. Then I went to the funeral. Had they taken a different path, I could not have faulted them. It wasn't my decision to make.

There was no "look how well that turned out" moment.
