Check this out. Fallstreak Hole.

Sometimes I watch old videos of Bob Ross painting various nature scenes from his show way back. While acknowledging that the paintings were not realistic depictions of nature, they were still awesome to look at and admire. Then sometimes I would go out and view nature, and realize that I was wrong, and some of his paintings actually were realistic. This "fallstreak" looks like something he would paint.

To be perfectly fair, I'm generally the person asking the question, and receiving the snarky "Let me google that for you" response. I couldn't resist the temptation to finally be the person using it, even if you perhaps weren't deserving of such snark :D

Also, I didn't know prior to googling it as well. And I had just finished googling it to discover what causes them just moments before I read your post, so perhaps I shouldn't take credit for unearned snark.
