A doctor with decades of experience can’t practice medicine after her license was temporarily suspended over complaints that she shared coronavirus misinformation, according to a Maine licensing board. The board has ordered her to undergo a neuropsychological evaluation, it said. Dr. Meryl J. Nass, who got a license to practice medicine in Maine in 1997, had her license “immediately” suspended for 30 days after a board investigation and review of complaints against her on Jan. 12, according to a suspension order from the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.

“The information received by the Board demonstrates that Dr. Nass is or may be unable to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety to her patients by reason of mental illness, alcohol intemperance, excessive use of drugs, narcotics, or as a result of a mental or physical condition interfering with the competent practice of medicine,” the evaluation order states. The complaints against Nass include how the board was told she engaged in “public dissemination of ‘misinformation’” about COVID-19 and vaccinations “via a video interview and on her website,” the board said about the October 26, 2021 complaint. It lists several comments Nass made that were subject to the board’s investigation. Roughly 10 days later, the board got another complaint about Nass “spreading COVID and COVID vaccination misinformation on Twitter,” it said.

They don't see that, while it would not be adaptive in the long term, that there is nothing preventing features of both Omicron and Delta from becoming recombinant in the same example.

Yes, it will ultimately become unable to spread, but the self-defeating nature will only come to such self defeat after WE get defeated utterly.

There is no intent to mutation, just effect in the here and now.

It has never been necessary during a time when there was a vaccine available to mandate vaccines for adults, with exceptions for medical reasons.

The US has in effect forced the entire US population to be vaccinated, except for those unable to be vaccinated or for those idiots who are able to get around vaccination through 'religious exemptions' prior to adulthood. Adults in the US are generally fully vaccinated against serious communicable diseases.

Other things I have no problem with:

Mandatory childhood vaccines with only medical exemptions. I saw a 5 year old leukemia patient nearly die from chicken pox. He couldn’t be vaccinated. Healthy kids can be vaccinated.

Speed limits
Seat belt limits
Safety laws that govern the manufacture of automobiles
Laws regulating the lead content of gasoline
Laws mandating environmental protection in automobiles, and any other manufacturing

FDA regulations mandating food and drug safety

Rules, regulations and standards regulating the building of homes and other building

And a bunch of other health and safety measures that help ensure the health and safety of all, including fuck witted libertarians who just care about freedom—theirs, not someone else’s.

It should be viewed as a civic duty to be vaccinated. I can't stand some people don't vaccinate these days for the other diseases just because it appears there is no threat... but that appearance is because of VACCINATION! To paraphrase my Dad, "When things are good for too long, people get stupid."

Effectively, people begin mistakenly thinking these things are just a natural state.
