Credit Where Credit is Due: a shout out thread for Things Trump Did Right

Speaking of the penny.
What happens to the ones still in circulation?
Do people horde them in the hope that the value will go up enough to bother.
Under current law you cannot melt them down.
I could do that at home if it was legal but the cost to smelt make it very unprofitable.
The cost to do ANYTHING with a penny is more than it’s worth.
They will waste away in their billions, in drawers, couch cushions and under automobile floor mats until most get cashed in by enterprising four year olds.

For the Trump administration, this expresses my feelings well:

"I’ll give them credit—America is finally being run like a business. A business acquired by private equity, stripped of all value, and then liquidated, all under the leadership of a narcissist with multiple bankruptcies under his belt."

Since most pennies in circulation are zinc, just throw them on your roof. Moss does not like zinc. Or glue them to your boat hull.

It is more than obvious many people were and are supporting a major change and even willing to pay some short term dues to get there. Business as usual hasn't been getting us there. MAGA was and is ready for adults to take charge and fix problems.
Please explain how all these job/department cuts will help you, or anyone else.

I’m pretty sure they have no intention of returning the “wasted” tax money to us.

My taxes went up under trump.

Mine went down--but the money went right back out due to his fucking with the ACA.

I'm not sure they're the same 14 words KCFlyer refers to.
The 14 words I am referring to are only words in the constitution that MAGA Constitution lovers give a shit about...."the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"
I did not know this about MAGA. That being said they have certainly understood and chosen a most extraordinarily powerful message from our Constitution.

Not directly. But if and when the government becomes more solvent, fed monetary easing may become a thing of the past. Just NOT printing any more money means the middle class will no longer have to pay an inflation tax on top of all our other taxes that have caused normal people to be in debt up to their eye balls.

He was indeed a wise man. And I (and most of teh others here you are responding to) fear the government.

@RVonse -- I want to thank you again for giving reflective and honest answers to questions. This is something the other Trump supporters here do not do.

Will you indulge me by answering some more questions? The questions relate to two measures for which Trump may deserve credit.

(1) Does your news bubble report that Trump has taken over the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, effectively appointing himself as Chairman of its Board? He can now choose honorees personally. (Question 2 assumes that you have Googled and confirmed to your satisfaction that this is not fake news.)
(2) What do you think about this? Was this a good way to reduce DEI and "wokeism" in the performing arts?

(3) Does your news bubble report that Trump has removed the security details provided to Dr. Fauci, General Mark Milley and John Bolton? These men who were given special security after receiving death threats from Trump supporters.
(4) What do you think about this? Do you like Trump's explanation that eliminating the security details was a good way to save money?

Thanks for answering these questions and helping us understand the conservative point of view.

Trump also said he wouldn't feel responsible in the least if something bad befell them

Considering how many jokes there were about Mr. Pelosi, this should come as no surprise.

1) I have not kept current with the happenings of the Kennedy Center to say the least. For one reason, my interests have always been towards science and technology rather than arts. Furthermore, I believe the Kennedy Center is in Washington DC and I live St. Louis. I will say what Trump did appears to be purely partisan and childish though. His excuse would no doubt be that the other side has over reached with DEI.

2) That being said, I would call the Kennedy Center the perfect example of the federal government being involved with something it shouldn't. As a tax payer living in the mid west, why do I want my federal government involved in an Arts center that I will never get to go to much less enjoy? The whole complex should be in private hands so that local people who enjoy this center will also be supporting this center. That way locals who probably do want DEI will also be the same audience paying for and receiving their DEI programming.

3) On the subject of Dr. Fauci et all. I'm not knowledgeable how credible the threats against these people are. And how much protection to how many people does the federal government owe them? At some point there has to be some judgement called as to how many people the tax payer should be protecting. Yes, someone might get shot and that would be horrible. But lets just ask ourselves how many Dems compared to Repubs have gotten shot lately? The rest of us living everywhere else might get shot if we walk into the wrong place too. There has to be some kind of finite limit how many people and how much money the federal government can spend protecting everyone.

With that in mind how would you fix our present state so that our government feared you (no matter who got elected) instead of the other way around? Would you think a bigger more powerful structure of government would do the trick? Or would a smaller more inexpensive government with strict limits to power and censorship would work better? Or would you just rather enjoy living in tyranny?

Anyone would voted for Trump enjoys living in tyranny until they realize it is adversely affecting them.

You clearly know how to type, otherwise your lengthy screeds would not be so numerous nor so frequent.

Try "wiki kennedy center" and see if you can read to the second paragraph. In case you cannot, I will quote it here:

"Authorized by the National Cultural Center Act of 1958, which requires that its programming be sustained through private funds ..."
