Dear iidb: Guy babbling about Christ, evolution, and the big bang.

Hmm. I'd say, pick any eight biographies of Winston Churchill, and I suspect you won't find the authors at odds with each other on Winston's genealogy, year of birth, where he was taken after his birth, timing of major events in his career, date and time of his death, last words, and...details about his entombment...
And none of them can tell you what he said when praying in private - or even whether he ever indulged in private prayer at all.

There's no
Imagine when someone talked to you about quantum theory, let's say, the many worlds interpretation idea, that says: the different possible realities of a quantum object crystallise into different parallel universes at the point of measurement.

What's that saying? : Quantum theory is strange?
Yes. It is. And it's hypothetical; A conjecture. It fits the facts, but it's only one of several ways to explain those facts (all of them strange, but not yet demonstrated to be impossible).
And there's the theory where particles exist in multiple states simultaneously until measured,
Schrödinger's cat?
Indeed. It comes across as absurd. But it's consistent with experimental results, in a way that intuitive classical physics is not.

OTOH, your conjectures in this thread (such as ghosts and substance dualism) are inconsistent with experimental results, and so are simply false.
And quantum physics still says there are some things so improbable that they are not permitted to occur. It's not the case that all things are possible under quantum physics. Quantum physics isn't magic.
Lol, indeed. Perhaps not magic in this day and age.

We could instead use the term 'science fiction '.

Here we go, hang onto your britches, atheism is finished. Why you may ask? Well, it's because science is proving atheism to be wrong.

''But now, two decades on, the influence of the New Atheists has waned. Former adherents, most notably Ayaan Hirsi Ali, have repudiated atheism entirely and embraced the Christian faith. Others, such as Alex O’Connor, the hugely popular atheist YouTuber and Steven Bartlett, the businessman turned podcaster, have moderated their outlooks too.

As many atheist philosophers (such as the eminent John Gray) have noted, the New Atheists’ philosophical arguments were never very good. Moreover, their arguments seemed strangely anachronistic following many of the great scientific discoveries of the 20th century.

Consider first modern cosmology. Cosmologists have discovered that the universe, contrary to the expectations of those who long portrayed it as eternal, probably had a beginning. Multiple lines of evidence from observational astronomy support this conclusion. Developments in theoretical physics (such as the Borde-Guth-Vilenkin theorem, which states that any universe that is expanding – as ours is – cannot be infinite in the past), also back it up.

Nobel laureate Arno Penzias, who helped make a key discovery supporting the Big Bang theory, noted the obvious connection between its affirmation of a cosmic beginning and the concept of divine creation. “The best data we have are exactly what I would have predicted, had I nothing to go on but the five books of Moses…[and] the Bible as a whole,” he wrote in 1978.

Atheist physicists Lawrence Krauss and Stephen Hawking claimed to explain the beginning of the universe from “nothing”, but their “nothing” turned out to be a set of mathematical laws that allegedly pre-existed (or existed independently of) the material universe..''

Oh, well, then sign me up for the Christian god. Yeah, a loving murder deity who is privy to the secret thoughts of each of 8.32 billion humans, and whom all the MAGA dimwits seem to believe in -- he's got to be real!! As long as a group of cosmologists think so, well, there just can't be any other conclusion.
