Moving goalposts aside, that's a really pathetic yardstick for eligibility for president. "You can be a creepy pedo, but you then have to wait ten years before you get to be President." That's the hill you want to die on?

Yeah, Obamagate. I'm glad Trump is pushing this, because it is almost guaranteed to lose him traction with the independent votes he must have to add to his rock-solid 33 or 35%. 1) The death tolls are rising even as he praises our position in the Covid landscape. We'll probably have a double-Vietnam death toll by mid-summer, and we'll have 'achieved' it in about 120 days.
2) He truly thinks that the majority of us are like his devoted sheeple. The mark of a Trump supporter is the inability to understand The Boy Who Cried Wolf. 1) Inviting a foreign power into our political process -- especially a totalitarian power -- is toxic to democracy.
2) The Trump campaign had over 200 contacts with the Russkies, and lied and lied about it.
3) The Deep State -- excuse me -- Deeeeep State -- could've done serious damage to Trump's campaign by TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TRUMP TOWER MEETING. Instead, the executive branch, through the DOJ, effectively killed Hillary's campaign with the October email press release.

None of this matters in the least, because the lines are drawn. If you couldn't assess Trump's character from Birtherism (2011-2016), which showed him to be cynical, brazen, amoral, and most of all a LIAR, it's not going to happen now.
Anyone looking for treachery, or some other word that starts with trea-- might want to remember this quote:

A rather roundabout way of saying that she'll endorse him if she thinks that he's worth endorsing.

"To me, what is most important is the policy. So it's not just do we check off these boxes, but also what does that woman believe? And I would love for us to have a vice president that believes and pushes for health care as a human right, that pushes for a living wage, that pushes for, you know, tuition free public colleges and universities,” she added.

Ultimately, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez says she would “love to see the vice president pick someone that he knows is going to push him.”

“I think that that's what a good vice president does, that they are honest. They provide a countervailing opinion when they believe that it's necessary,” she added.

So she's not going to be happy with some token.
