This is exactly the kind of thing I was discussing when the Nazi cook got fired by the restaurant. I had said that it would be acceptable for a manager/owner to fire someone based on risks when their so-called ideology is actually ideation of violence and harm to customers...Nazis, al Qaeda, whatever this individual woman is...have beliefs in practicing harm to their customers/patients. It's not too different than hiring a pedophile (which is also belief in a practice, not necessarily acted upon yet) to work in a daycare center. You don't want a Nazi poisoning the food of your customers and you don't want a doctor giving the wrong drugs intentionally to Jewish people. It's not based on a born trait of a person that renders them innocent but bad decisions to have harmful beliefs of harmful practices.

I read what both Derec and Toni posted. Any 'context' that would make my post questionable would have been kept secret and unspoken by both. Perhaps you are assuming a 'context' that doesn't exist.

I read what both Derec and Toni posted. Any 'context' that would make my post questionable would have been kept secret and unspoken by both. Perhaps you are assuming a 'context' that doesn't exist.

First, this thread was split from another one. You would need to read more than the 2 posts you said you read. Second, nowhere in Toni's post does she say she is defending anyone. So even in reading the 2 posts, you've read something not present.

What made you think I was attempting to defend Kollab rather than correct an inaccuracy?

I don't really think that it was a 'bad joke.' And yes, suggesting that you would intentionally give the wrong medication to any patient is exactly something that would and should get you kicked out of any residency program--and your medical license pulled, no matter who that patient might be.

She made a number of similar statements—not political statements that are pro-Palestinian or anti-Israeli. Not political statements but hate speech and alluding to her intentions to commit medical malpractice or even murder.

I do not understand how it is possible to get through medical school and to land a residency at a prestigious medical center and to not realize that it wasn’t ok to state your willingness to engage in medical malpractice. For any reason. Or how anyone can mistake that for ‘a joke.’

Yes, even if she was not being serious, she is a giant liability.

You claimed that she is Palestinian when in fact she is as American as you are.

But she is Palestinian. And that identity is the one that is relevant to her antisemitic tweets.

She even lists two cities in her profile: Nablus (West Bank) and New York.

when in fact she is as American as you are.

Her also being American (at least de jure) is not relevant to her tweets, which is why I did not mention it.
