Diversity in Europe is a good thing.

The same trend towards atheism that is hitting European Christians is also starting to hit European Muslims. No doubt atheism is spreading from ex-Muslims in Europe to Muslims in the Middle East. I'm so glad all those Muslims moved to Western countries.

In Western countries, this is easier to measure, and the numbers of ex-Muslim atheists in Western countries is indeed growing.

According to the UN World Food Program, about 795 million people don't get enough food to lead an active healthy life - that's about 10 or 11% of the world.

More people today suffer ill-health due to too much food, than suffer due to too little.

It is hardly surprising that people whose guesstimates about the scale and nature of the world's problems are so WILDLY wrong, end up advocating pointless or even counterproductive 'solutions'. Humanity isn't starving for lack of food; but we do seem to suffer dreadfully from a lack of factual knowledge.

We cannot solve our problems if we don't even have a clue what those problems are.

In such conditions, turning to prayer might be the best option - because it is completely ineffective, and therefore cannot change things in the wrong (but popularly believed to be right) direction.

Or, to put it another way, at least if they are busy in their Mosques, Temples and Churches, the stupid people are kept, to some extent, out of the way of those who actually have a grasp on reality.
