Any union that doesn't withdraw its members' labour as soon as those members stop getting paid is bloody useless.

If ATC staff are not paid, planes should immediately stop flying. Ground the fucking lot until the dollars come back.

Why the fuck would anyone work for the promise of future back-pay? The agreement is, we work, you pay us. No pay, no work. Simples.

What gets me as much is that congress and the president get paid regardless. Those pay checks didn't stop. When there is a shutdown congress and the president should immediately go without pay.

I don't think Trump is taking any pay in his second term as well, so there is little incentive for him. But, Congress?...yeah.

No, he's just demanding 230 million dollars from the DOJ for his troubles with them. During a shut down and trying to take away SNAP benefits.
