They are drilling more. But at the end of the day, oil companies are in the business of making money. And today is the most profitable time for them in history. They love these high prices. Although its not in their best interest for the US to go into a recession either. Anyway, here is a good article:

Back when I had a long communte I went back and forth between progressive and conservative radio. Both sides used the same kind of rhetoric and tactics.
Progressive radio hosts called the right dangerous Nazis. Conservative radio called the left dangerous communists.
I forget the name, a progressive radio host got suspended for excessive use of the word Nazi. He was the progressive flip side of Rush Limbaugh.
There are real issues and consequences in politics, but what we see in the media is a show for the public. It is all managed by high priced political image specialists on both sides. Psychologists.
What tie a a politician wears and where he stands on a stage. It is all scripted, like TV wrestling. Once you realize the political image as a crafted facade then politics can make sense.

Are you fucking serious? The Federalist Society is engrained in the GOP. The communist party in the US consists of thousands of Americans who have less than zero influence in any part of American politics.
The right-wing rhetoric has gotten uglier over the years. It went from political to close to the insane. Michael Savage became somewhat mainstream, and now we are hearing about children hospitals performing "experimental surgeries" on children and "genital mutilation".
Moore-Coulter. Yes, both sides, but one side is beyond outside the limits of rational politics. Between 2017 and 2020, Fox News began losing viewers due it not being biased enough. Viewers moved to ONN and Newsmax, which were flat out propaganda, where nothing was accurate. The left-wing has MSNBC.

In recent years, we have seen various far right protesters marching carrying Nazi swastika flags and wearing Swastika T-shirts. Great champions of Trump. And spray painting swastikas all over America. No Nazis on the far right, no! Really!

A decades long project to install "left wing" judges at every level of the federal judiciary that's co-opted one of the only two relevant parties in the US?
Such a thing does not exist.
A liberal justice in the federal judiciary is - by comparison - a happy accident. A lifelong friend of my sister was installed as federal judge in the contentious Southern District of New York. Was she groomed as a law clerk at the feet of a liberal SCOTUS justice? Nope. Is she a member of an organization dedicated to tilting the judiciary in a "leftist" direction? Nope. Does she have millions of dollars behind her seeking to push wedge issues through the courts? Nope.
She's the daughter of my high school geometry teacher. For most of the last decade, she's been representing the Girl Scouts. Seriously.
On the right, you have people who are pegged from an early age as someone who would bring an agenda to the bench and maybe someday tilt the Supreme Court to overturn abortion and civil rights. On the left? Girl Scouts.
