How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

I knew they were taking us over.
We warned you about the porous border, about the lack of border controls, the need for a wall, and the existential threat the failings of border security presents to the US of A.

But you idiots sent all the effort to the southern border, and totally missed the real threat.

Canadian hamburgers.

Canadian!!

Despite Burger King's intransigent support for Russia's invasion of Ukraine (according to Kremlin spokesperson barbos), the US House of Representatives has passed the Ukraine aid package. It appears that even Donald Trump realized he could not oppose it, despite his love of all things Putin. So he said that Ukraine's independence is important to US security. Well, he said that after meeting with the president of Poland, so that was likely the last thought in his head before facing cameras. He still wouldn't endorse the package that was passed by the House. Speaker Johnson, who once played a big role in the conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results, braved threats from Marjorie Taylor Greene to set the bill up for a bipartisan approval.

So what now? What needs to happen over the summer and into the next fiscal year now that Ukraine will have the armaments it needs to execute the war against Russian aggression?
First, hold the line. It looks like Russia plans an offensive this summer and Ukraine will need to hold the line as best they can with the personnel they've got. Though Zelensky has lowered the conscription age, proper training will take time. Ukraine can not afford to simply feed meat into the grinder like its opponent can. If Ukraine can largely hold the line during a summer offensive, the Russian public will know it. Propaganda be damned, the truth leaks out. Thousands more sent to die in a war of choice and for what? Putin is sensitive to public opinion and survival of his regime is most important.
Also it looks like Ukraine may better have the means to soften up Crimea. Longer range ATACMS should give them the ability to reach more targets within Crimea.
This being an election year, Biden will want to maintain the status quo so to speak, give the America First propaganda machine nothing to work with through October.
But then after the election cycle where will Ukraine be? Many more conscripts should be through the training cycle. F-16s should be ready to go. Ukraine should have tacit approval to strike critical targets within Russia. Fossil fuel money and a wartime economy. This is what Russia is operating on. After the election, Biden will not have to sweat the price of gasoline so much. Ukraine will be free to go after Russia's main source of income, oil. There is no winning this war for Ukraine in the meat grinder. Putin can and will feed it long after Ukraine's ability has been exhausted. Russia must be brought to the negotiating table or made to walk away altogether (and who can trust Russia at the negotiating table). This can only be done by strikes within Russia.
Personally I think if Ukraine can soften up Crimea enough but still can not manage to take out the Kerch bridge, I think the US should do it for them. If left with even a bit of doubt about it being an American strike, Putin will cling to that doubt. What choice does he have?

Delusion is strong in this one here.

Meanwhile Azov (!!!) regiment refuses to go and die pointlessly for Biden.
Kiev regime started to disband some units because of the first mass surrender.
Money which Congress approved are not gonna change situation. They are to cover military spending which already happened. They are not going to create any new weapons any time soon.
The clown did manage to lower conscription age by 2 years. This is really laughable. And even that was not popular to say the least. Ukraine does not have many 25 year olds to hunt on the streets anyway.

Even hardcore neocon idiots (Hodges) now are unsure if Ukraine will survive this summer.

Fundamental problem is that since the start of the Western aggression, Russia has bee getting stronger both militarily and economically and Ukraine (and West as well) has been getting weaker and weaker.
Sanctions were a godsend, because they cut money leak from Russia,
Before illegal sanctions, people were keeping all their money in the West, now they have no choice but to invest them in Russia. It's freaking miracle!

What are you talking about "illegal sanctions"? Why the hell should any westerner spend any money or trade with a country invading another country. If your country wants to do business with the west; stop your imperialism. If not, quit whining about it.

Imperialism is all yours. You invaded Ukraine and installed Nazi regime in order to provoke Russia.
And thank you for the sanctions. However they are illegal. But thank you again.

Why are the sanctions illegal? If your country won’t follow international law, why should you get the benefits of trading with the west? Or the international banking system.

Longer range ATACMS should give them the ability to reach more targets within Crimea.
And, IMO more significantly, to reach targets in the Russian logistics train in the occupied areas of Ukraine. Preventing Russia from stockpiling materiel anywhere close to the front line is a massive benefit to Ukraine's defenders, and a huge pain for Russia - particularly if Russia is hoping to keep any kind of offensive supplied.

Reuters states they will be 300km ATACMS which will put all of Crimea within range from either Kherson or held territory east of Zaporizhzhia, with range to spare as these of course would not be fired from front line positions.

It also state Biden has just shy of $12B in draw down authority and $1B in military aid set and ready to go.
Should be there before the ink dries.
