How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

I drive to my gas station.
I don't
OK, I walked to one gas station and prices were:
АИ-95 12.40 руб/литр, which for imperial idiots $0.57/gal
ДТ 10.90 руб/литр (diesel $0.51/gal)
.

.
Of course it is 10x higher, sign simply does not have enough digits and price is for 100 ml.
Basically we have the same prices as US. It is about 2x of what it was in spring.
But this particular gas station I suspect has large discount if you pay by their card.
One guy drove in why I was walking by. No lines.

You said you went to school and lived here, and have a PHD in physics. What school was yur PHD?
Very good and famous US University.
I would think you would have some capacity to think logically and understand western free market economics.
You can't really be a judge of me. You can't really comprehend written text well enough.

a mind that been subjected to a lifetime of propaganda.

Core Psychological Adaptations
    • Political Apathy: Citizens often feel individual agency is non-existent, leading to a quiet resignation from public affairs and a preference to stay out of politics entirely. [1, 2]
    • Ideological Cynicism: Instead of believing every official claim, individuals may adopt the view that "everyone lies" and that objective truth does not exist, which neutralizes the desire to look for facts. [1, 2]
    • Fortress Mentality: Decades of messaging regarding external threats foster a defensive worldview where Russia is perceived as a besieged island surrounded by hostile forces. [1, 2]
    • Behavioral Compliance: Public support is often sustained through outward conformity and mutual silence rather than genuine ideological fervor.

arbos

Do you still think our government tells growers what to plant and when, and how much to grow?

Do you understand free market law of supply and demand?

Examples of supply and demand. During the 90s .com boom students opted for computer science instead of electrical engineering thinking they would make a lot of moneyy. Supply of electrical engineers went down, demand went up, and EE salaries went up. Companies had to compete for electrical engineers.

We are not entirely laissez-faire meaning without any government involvement in the economy .don't think any western system is.

laissez-faire (the economic policy of a free market with no government control), the United States is not a pure laissez-faire system. While the U.S. economy relies heavily on capitalism, the government actively regulates business, sets labor rules, collects taxes, and runs social programs.

Yes, you are. I actually was never really subjected to russian or soviet for that matter propaganda.
:hysterical:

This was your very first post in this thread.
Projecting again? No one in Russia considers it a great idea.

Putin does not need to invade anyone. All he needs is to start North Stream 2 and wait until all contracts with Ukrainian pipelines expire.
Ukraine and US, on the other hand, realize that they need some drastic shit to prevent that.

This was a post you made on the day of the invasion.
Now that Valieva was allowed to compete risk of russian invasion was significantly reduced.

Again

No lines? People in Russia are posting videos of lines more than a kilometer long. City governments are putting portable toilets on the road because people are waiting hours, or days. You should try to tell a story that is slightly plausible.

That’s not even the Russian flag. It does not have the double-headed eagle on it.

Bullshit. Bloomberg is a great source of bullshit.
And you fucks need to understand that Russia can and does use Indian and Belorussian refineries.
Why do you need to use Indian refineries? You keep us telling us yours are ok and working well. You used to export but now need to import?
So your wet dream of having collapse in agriculture is just that - wet dream
Plants do need some wet.

Barbos says he has a PHD in physics.

He probably ended up changing light bulbs at an oil refinery.
