How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Trump's lifting of sanctions on Russian diesel looks to be no more. Was it just a pre-election last ditch lame-ass attempt by Trump that did nothing and is now going nowhere?
Initial shipments have changed course, one indicating it is headed to Brazil, another turned away from its US destination and doesn't know which where to go.

In other news, Russia has set a new record, 2,240 killed or severely wounded in the last 24 hours. 751 of those loses were by Ukrainian drones, a record for Ukraine. This while Russia tries to break the will of the Ukrainian people by striking aid centers. Good luck with that.
