Thanos didn't want to kill people because they're stupid. He wanted to kill half of all living things to conserve the universe's natural resources.

I believe it was Ultron who wanted to exterminate all human beings after downloading the entire internet into his memory banks.

Me: But people have been starving on Earth forever. When we were only numbered in the millions, tens of millions, billions. It isn’t about resources as we can expand access to resources if we have more people through brute force and technological advances. What we need is some system to ensure that all people have no less than some minimum.
