Heh. .
I wish I counted the times that I walked away from the stage GD were playing on, high enough on LSD that I couldn’t take how repetitive their hour and a half, single song sets were. Maybe their songs were only 45 minutes and LSD just made them seem longer.
Don’t get me wrong - I loved them, and they were all friends of friends; I never suspected that more than a half century later they’d still be considered great by so many people. A few years later when Amos Black (friend of a very close friend) produced The Wheel, I thought they were taking a turn toward more musically complex arrangements and writing, but it turned out to be an apparition. I still like that album; for some reason it feels like it makes their other material better.

Conan O’Brien a number of years ago: “The Grateful Dead will release an 80-disc live set. No word on which Grateful Dead song it’ll be.”

No single 80 box set yet but I'm sure that all of my box sets together are at least 80 CDs. The one I got last week was 19 CDs.

Dead and Company which is the most recent reincarnation of the Grateful Dead without Jerry or Phil put out a 2023 Summer Tour Box set. 32 shows, 3 CDs each. I chose the downloads cuz I couldn't stomach ripping probably about 90 CDs.
