There always was something a little off about her...
:hysterical:

Concerning this, Trump released the JFK assassination files completely unredacted. The problem is those files included names and Social Security numbers of numerous people involved with the investigation. The Biden administration already released the files but redacted the private data of those individuals.

Trump and his goons are such fuckups. This is like when he wasted millions of gallons of water in California that had no hope of reaching the files but could have flooded out the farms and homes in the central valley of not for someone convincing them to slow the flow. As it was water that could be critical in the summer has been wasted.

Speaking as both an atheist and a non-believer in all things supernatural, I take a little issue with this. Belief in the supernatural (including religious beliefs) is now, and has always been, a normal and mainstream part of the human thought processes. The human brain is not fundamentally wired to easily discount supernatural explanations for unexplained phenomenon, and accept rational and scientific explanations instead. So, IMHO belief in the supernatural is less a mental illness, and more a natural (though misguided) mental state of our flawed brains. And atheism is a rejection of religious beliefs, its not necessarily a rejection of supernatural beliefs. There is no shortage of atheists in the world who reject religion and Gods, but cling to wacky woo shit like astrology, talking to the dead, etc. Atheism was not a cure for these people.

At the risk of ruining a thread of funnies, superstition is the product of a human drive to rational explanation, without having all the facts, or a level of technology capable of uncovering all the facts. Superstition, magical thinking and Dreamtime stories were the science of cultures whose best thinkers were trying to explain what was otherwise inexplicable. But it shows they were thinking.

The cumulative writers of Genesis are entitled to be pretty chuffed with their observations, since their efforts or not far removed from phylogeny and they didn't have the tools to do any better.

Atheism only becomes an issue in a culture where people are indoctrinated from an early age to believe they already know the facts, and trained in the techniques of turning their backs on contrary information as it comes to light.

Everywhere else, living without a belief in a god is just called living.
