Immigration Issues

Confirmed true.

Better be careful, Derec. And that doesn't mean just wearing a condom.
Do you have any more credible source than some random tweet?

For example, who has been stripped of their citizenship? For what kind of crime?

I don't know where I read it, but I think at least one or two citizens have already been deported. Perhaps that was done mistakenly, but it should never have happened. Plus, a lot of green card holders have been deported or put in detention prisons waiting to see if they will be deported. This is cruel, and illegal. Certainly you're read about some of these horrific things.

President Donald Trump continued on Tuesday to float his idea, which some legal experts say is unconstitutional, to deport U.S. citizens who commit crimes.

Speaking to the press during a tour of a migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades, the president repeated claims that there are many immigrants who are now citizens and have been committing serious crimes.

"They're not new to our country. They're old to our country. Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here, too, if you want to know the truth," he said. "So maybe that will be the next job."

Here's some more.....

The Trump administration is cramming to fulfill its mass deportation promises of ousting around 1 million immigrants this year alone. But as they race to meet those numbers, mistakes have been made, resulting in over a dozen U.S. citizens being swept up in the system.

The true scope of U.S. citizens wrongfully deported is not known as the federal government does not release data on how often members of this group are mistakenly detained or even removed from the country. However, The Washington Post estimated that there are at least 12 well-known cases, drawing conclusions from court records, interviews and news reports.

So, is anyone really safe? I read an article in RightwingWatch that noted some of the assholes want to deport white liberal women. I told a close Black friend about it yesterday. I did wonder what their plan was for black liberal women. Frightening!

Out of shape officers being allowed on the force is their version of DEI.
Either that or being obese gives them more of an excuse to shoot first and chase later?
Unions most concerned with protecting its members, keeping a bunch of no longer qualified lard-asses in their job and doesn't give a fig about the public well being.
Imagine being a firefighter and having to do more than your fair share of the most dangerous tasks because Fatty McFatass can't climb a ladder or carry an adult person while in full gear.

I hate to have to keep saying this but labor unions are required by law to protect its members. It's not like they have a choice in the matter.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was stripped naked, had his head shaved, was beaten, forced to kneel for hours overnight, and lost over 30 pounds during his time at the notorious CECOT prison in El Salvador, his attorneys say in a new court filing.

Abrego, of Maryland, was deported to El Salvador in March by the Trump administration in an “administrative error” and was returned to the U.S. in June to face federal charges. At the time of his removal from the U.S., Abrego was protected from deportation by a 2019 court order.

His high-profile case was pushed into the national spotlight, sparking a heated debate over Trump’s immigration crackdown and the race to deport people, at times without due process.

Abrego was deported to El Salvador on March 15 and placed into CECOT, a megaprison known for its brutal conditions.
What about all those others sent there?

There is no doubt in my mind that Trump enjoys the idea that he's sending people to be tortured.

"Next time, I’ll think twice about what I pack. That’s not something I ever thought I’d have to consider in this country."

Fair question. Any white-skinned undocumented immigrants swept up in militarized raids at Home Depot and at car washes?

Asking for a friend.
