Oh, that's a good idea! Let's fight Trump with targeted xenophobia and deportations!
This, I believe, is one of the most important sources of America’s greatness. We lead the world because, unique among nations, we draw our people — our strength — from every country and every corner of the world. And by doing so we continuously renew and enrich our nation.
While other countries cling to the stale past, here in America we breathe life into dreams. We create the future, and the world follows us into tomorrow. Thanks to each wave of new arrivals to this land of opportunity, we’re a nation forever young, forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on the cutting edge, always leading the world to the next frontier. This quality is vital to our future as a nation. If we ever closed the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost.
I find it utterly bizarre.My, how times--and Republicans--have changed.
My, how times--and Republicans--have changed.
In general, it was inflation that won Trump the election. The people who were up in arms over migrants were voting for Trump anyway. The people that swapped... it was the pocket book. But the GOP and their propaganda mill did a marvelous job making some people think that unwashed hoards of illegal immigrants were swarming into the US.My, how times--and Republicans--have changed.
Trump's stance on illegal immigration was a big part of what he ran on and garnered support from quite a wide spectrum of people so it wasn't just Republicans that changed. You need to keep things in context and remember what contributed to the current state of affairs. The USA still accepts a lot of immigrants every year.
As a reminder, hatred of immigrants is a US past-time that dates back before baseball existed. So it is the most conservative position an American can have!I find it utterly bizarre. My, how times--and Republicans--have changed.
This is the "Nation of Immigrants"! Our best symbol is Lady Liberty and the inscription on the base of the statue epitomizes what made us Great in the first place.
Dismissing that, but then referring to oneself as a conservative, is the height of hypocrisy. MAGAts are not conservative patriots. They are progressive fascists.
Christians don't worship Jesus. Catholics worship Mary, Protestants worship Paul. You know what else I can't help pointing out? The Statue of Liberty represents Jesus Christ own values. "What you do for the Least you do for me.", and "Love your neighbor as yourself." Stuff like that.
Let me help you here with the Conservative Jargon and what it really means:People pretending to be conservative Christian and also opposed to Jesus and American values are insane and delusional.

What kills me about all of those people who complained about inflation? Inflation hasn’t been that bad —especially if you are old like me and remember home mortgage interest rates of >18% and lines at gas stations for blocks to miles. Most young adults never had to deal with significant inflation. And btw, reading the minimum wage ( as it should have been) was going to cause some inflation. In general, it was inflation that won Trump the election. If one attitude can be said to characterize America's regard for immigration over the past two hundred years it is the belief that while immigration was unquestionably a wise and prescient thing in the case of one's parents or grandparents, it really ought to stop now. Succeeding generations of Americans have persuaded themselves that the country faced imminent social dislocation, and eventual ruin, at the hands of grasping foreign hordes pouring into its ports or across its borders.
Haven’t you heard? Medicaid recipients will work the fields.Sure trump ran on immigration, but he claimed he was only going to deport criminals. Instead he is deporting mostly innocent people, many who have green cards and/or were waiting for asylum. That is not what people expected. He’s a fucking lying psychopath The cruelty is overwhelming. He’s like a gang leader and his cultish gang bows to his wishes. Just wait until we don’t have people to work on farms, in nursing homes, in meat packing plants, doing construction, cleaning up after weather disasters etc. There aren’t enough people to replace those who are retiring. Trump is destroying the country in a rapid pace and I’m not just talking about democracy. He’s leading us to economic instability.
He did no such thing. Deporting lawful residents was always one of his campaign planks, it's just that he considers all undocumented immigrants to be criminals regardless of why they are, as do his fans.Sure trump ran on immigration, but he claimed he was only going to deport criminals. Most of his bullshit was based on deporting criminals, who he often referred to as rapists and murderers. While he may not understand that entering the country undocumented is a civil offense and not a criminal offense, the majority of Trump supporters believed he was going to deport actual criminals. It was in his vocabulary frequently. The poorly educated Trump supporters who I know personally, honestly believed that Biden was allowing actual criminals to come into the country and Trump was going to deport them. That is what they told me and what they believed. It was impossible to reason with them. But, what can one expect of a person when they believe what they hear on Fox and Newsmax? Regardless, the majority of people are finally starting to realize that Trump is deporting the very people the country needs to support the economy. He did no such thing. So….they never read the comics/watched the tv show(s) or movies or been awake for the past 85 years or so?Right wingers are going ape shit over the new Superman movie. Saying it is woke because it deals with Superman being an alien. Possibly illegal alien.
Quite the contrary. They are loving it.Right wingers are going ape shit over the new Superman movie. Saying it is woke because it deals with Superman being an alien. Possibly illegal alien.
LOS ANGELES, CA — In an unexpected twist for the Hollywood movie industry, director James Gunn proudly released a film about the importance of accepting morally upstanding white immigrants who speak perfect English.
The film, an inspiring tale about a white immigrant who comes to the United States as a young boy and grows up to become a law-abiding citizen who stands up for strong American values in the face of rampant lawlessness, was set to premiere to worldwide audiences this weekend.
"It's the kind of story the world needs right now," Gunn told journalists at the film's red carpet premiere. "I really wanted to capture how important it is for our society in America to prioritize allowing immigrants into the country who will immerse themselves in our culture, learn English, and stand up for our laws. It's the perfect movie for the new American Golden Age."
Babylon Bee obviously doesn't count. The alt-right is pissing their pants again. Which kind of gives me hope that someone finally made the Superman character viable in a movie. I mean, imagine, DC and Marvel movies being good. That'd be nice.Quite the contrary. They are loving it.Right wingers are going ape shit over the new Superman movie. Saying it is woke because it deals with Superman being an alien. Possibly illegal alien.
Honestly, in order for a Superman movie to work, he has to be some level of a heel, which generally needs to be political. Superman as a babyface is just boring. Personally, I think the best Superman is an over-bearing and over-judgmental force who is trying to do right, but is losing the focus, and he must be steered back on course, but not without a ton of CGI awesomeness.article said:“You know what it says on his cape? MS-13,” Fox News host Jessie Watters joked, referring to the international criminal gang that President Donald Trump’s administration claims it is targeting in its immigration raids.
Another Fox host, Greg Gutfeld, accused Gunn of trying to create a “moat of woke, enlightened opinion around him” after having been “canceled” and fired from Disney as a result of resurfaced tweets containing pedophilia jokes.
Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway, a former Trump aide, similarly took issue with “Superman,” citing a recent CBS News' "Sunday Morning" interview with star David Corenswet in which the actor didn’t mention the word “American” when referring to Superman’s slogan of “truth, justice and the American way.”
