Immigration Issues

A lot of illegal immigrants from Anglo countries, are there?
<distractions snipped>
Anyhow I personally doubt that there are what I would consider "a lot", <distraction snipped>.
That's all you needed to say, dude. So you have an entirely sufficient explanation for "the enforcement is totally against minorities", making persecution, like God, a hypothesis you have no need of, Sire.

I wonder if there have been "a lot" of arrests of known illegal immigrants from ANYWHERE that have committed felonies in the US since their admittance. I was given to understand that those were the "targets" of this murderous "enforcement campaign" that is killing some US citizens and disappearing others.
You mean Trump is a liar?!?

No doubt; but I'm not clear on what you think it has to do with the dispute you're commenting on. ...
<back & forth snipped>
Sorry. No. I will not play your semantic games. Goodbye.
I.e., it had nothing to do with my dispute. You could have perfectly well posted your quick facts without trying to involve me, and should have. Until next time...

Google tells me that as of 2023, there were 896,000 unauthorised immigrants in the USA from the Europe/Canada/Oceania statistical region, and this was approximately 7% of the total of unauthorised immigrants in the USA.

Is ~900,000 "a lot"? It feels like a lot to me.

do you seriously think the people that iCE arrests who are here legally, know that it’s here because the government thinks they’re in the country illegally? I think such people know it’s because ICE has arrest quotas ...

48,377 out of 65,735—or 73.6% held in ICE detention have no criminal conviction according to data current as of November 30, 2025. Many of those convicted committed only minor offenses, including traffic violations.
No doubt; but I'm not clear on what you think it has to do with the dispute you're commenting on. When a Guatemalan citizen crosses into the U.S. without permission he isn't issued a criminal conviction at the border. So why would his having no criminal conviction have any bearing on whether he entered illegally?
Two reasons. Trump said the effort would concentrate on the violent murderers, rapists, and gang members. This is proof he lied.
What's your point? Trump lies so often God uses Trump's lie-counter as a ceiling fan. So what? If Trump is concentrating on generic illegal immigrants even though he lied and said he'd focus on violent ones, how does that have any bearing on whether they entered illegally?
Why should we trust the government's claims about the legal status of the immigrants they're rounding up when we know they lie? Simple question. You don't have an honest answer though.
The whole fucking point is that we KNOW we we can't trust their claims.

They are going after people here LEGALLY! I have first person (and you have second hand at least, now) knowledge of this.

Bomb can GTFO with that dishonest bullshit.

I posted that in response to Elixir, not you.

Because that 'crime' is on the level of tresspassing or faulity paperwork. but they are being persicuted like murders or rapists. And without due process.
We should not trust the government's claims about the legal status of the immigrants they're rounding up. Where the hell do you imagine you saw me say we should?
You may not have said it, but you ARE defending the regime.

I didn't read the article, but opened the link and searched for the word antifa. I could not find it.
The left gets accused of "throwing around the word Nazi" but the right throws around the word "Antifa" so much it loses all meaning.

Serious question: why do you trump up false, baseless damaging accusations with malice and reckless disregard for the truth against other posters?
Not all other posters. Just certain ones I already know are acting in bad faith.

And they are not baseless or trumped up.

They are damaging, certainly, but not all "damage" is unjustified.

I have family and friends living in the Minneapolis metropolitan area, including in Minneapolis itself. People I know, care about and love attend protests, are part of rapid response teams, buy groceries and other necessities for those who need it. People I know who have been naturalized citizens for decades now carry passports whenever they leave their homes. The murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti were in the neighborhoods of people I love. The stress is extreme, even for those of us who do not live in the metropolitan area.

The thing is, I know plenty of people who absolutely believe all of the GOP bullshit. In other respects, they are decent people. A few among the best people I’ve ever known.
(Tswizzle rolls his eyes as though he doesn't believe "woke" people are indecent which means he judges people purely for ideological reasons which is supposedly the thing he's rolling his eyes about someone else doing). It's OK when he does it, though, of course.

That one is little more than an empty light knit cardigan, masquerading ambitiously as an empty suit.

There is considerable anecdotal evidence of disproportionate arrests of minorities, and not even that to support the hypothesis of even-handed application of the law. So you have an entirely sufficient explanation for "the enforcement is totally predominantly against minorities", making even handed, race-blind enforcement of laws, like God, a hypothesis you have no need of desperately need to lean on, regardless of its merits or lack thereof.

True; but your post had nothing to do with Elixir's side of our dispute either. You didn't have a good reason to involve either of us.
